We've dined here only twice, and I have to say, with consistency, that Aroma is the single most unique Indian restaurant my wife and I have been to in our 25 years of marriage. (You know it's good when the wifey says, I've never seen some of these dishes before [in any of the Indian restaurants we've been to].) We visited New Delhi a few years ago and tasted some very unique-tasting street foods, but you don't have to go all the way to India anymore: just go to the Aroma restaurant. Each time we've been here, the service is always super friendly and super helpful, and the tastes - the tastes! *Supremely unique.* (E.g., try the chikoo shake, it's not your typical, hyper-sweetened American shake - you can tell they made it from scratch, with the tiny, crunchy bits that give it splendid texture.) Some of the dishes can get a bit pricey, but figuring out what you like here is part of the adventure - an adventure that won't disappoint, and an adventure that will ignite taste buds that you never before knew you had. Highly Recommended!

The Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani is a MUST-TRY - it's hands-down the best I've tried in recent times ! The flavors are rich and aromatic.
The presentation of each dish is thoughtful and the staff is warm.
I also had the pleasure of trying their Mojito from the mocktail collection - it was refreshing and expertly crafted!
The Tandoori Platter was another highlight, with succulent, marinated meats grilled to perfection.
Ambience-wise, the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between modern elegance and traditional warmth. Plus, ample parking is a huge bonus!
Kudos to the entire team for creating a truly good dining experience. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! Highly recommended!

I read all of the reviews for Aroma and Namaste, which was previously at this location.
Here is my take. Overall, I would say that Aroma is a very solid choice for Indian food in Bothell. They are definitely trying both service and food wise.
I reserved a table for three at five p.m., and we were the first to come in. We were promptly seated, and food was very quickly ready.
Service was perfect if you expect a non rush, sit-down experience. They had one guy serving everyone, so there might be a bottleneck if they are full. He was also handling at least some of the takeout orders that came at a steady stream.
We ordered chicken marsala and another spicy cury as well as herb bread, Chai Tea, and Mango Lassi. Everything tasted great and fresh. We also ordered a couple of desserts, Rasmalai, and another one that our waiter recommended.
I liked everything we tried

Called for
- Paneer Masakali - very interesting and different tasting appetiser. Really liked it
- Kadhai Paneer - Can be reordered
- Garlic naan
- Paneer Biryani - can be missed since the masala was a lot.
We also had called for chapatti but that looked undercooked. Also to note is that the quantity is less. Overall, the restaurant is definitely worth visiting for vegetarian meals. The service too was good.

We had a great dining experience at Aroma Restaurant. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed dinner.
We ordered the Potlam Biryani, Chettinad Chicken, and the Tandoori Kebab Platter.
• The Potlam Biryani was a standout — a unique dish with boneless Chicken 65 biryani wrapped inside a soft omelette. The flavors were rich, the spices were well balanced, and the presentation was impressive.
• The Chettinad Chicken was bold and full of authentic South Indian spices. It had just the right level of heat and paired well with both biryani and naan.
• The Tandoori Kebab Platter took around 30 minutes to arrive and came out last, but it was worth the wait. Everything on the platter was juicy, perfectly grilled, and full of that smoky tandoori flavor.
Service was friendly, though the wait time for the tandoori platter could be improved.
Overall, the food was flavorful and satisfying. Would definitely recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine with great presentation. Looking forward to our next visit!

On a Sunday at lunch, we went here and had a mixed experience. There was just 1 person managing everything- the orders, takeouts, cleaning and all, which makes it obvious that he was slammed. Still he somehow managed to handle everything well.
Tried the masakali paneer which was very disappointing, a weird version of paneer chilli which came with no sauce or chutney. The aloo tikki was okay, and double ka meetha was good. No interior decor or vibe as such, which was disappointing too. Chicken biryani was good, but the dum chicken was quite dry.
So overall a decent experience, but might not be back.

From the moment we walked into Aroma, we knew we were in for something special. The restaurant is impeccably clean and warmly inviting, with a relaxed ambiance that makes you want to linger. We were promptly greeted and seated by their exceptionally polite and knowledgeable wait staff, setting the tone for what turned out to be a stellar dining experience.
We started our meal with an array of thoughtfully prepared dishes: the Butter Paneer was rich and velvety, paired perfectly with soft, buttery chapatis. The Spinach Chicken offered a unique and satisfying twist, and the Chicken Tango Kebab was grilled to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and beautifully spiced. Each dish showcased an impressive balance of flavors, with the spice level dialed in just right—enough to tantalize the palate without overwhelming it.
We were curious about their weekend-special Mutton Dum Biryani but hesitated, worried it might be too spicy. To our surprise and delight, our gracious waiter, Heyson, brought out a sample on the house—a gesture that truly elevated our experience. And let me tell you, that biryani was nothing short of a revelation. Fragrant, expertly layered, and deeply reminiscent of the legendary flavors of Lucknow, it is hands down the best biryani in town—possibly the best I’ve had since visiting Lucknow itself.
For dessert, we opted for the Double Ka Meetha, which was decadently good and the perfect sweet ending to a phenomenal meal.
We left Aroma not just satisfied, but genuinely impressed by the quality of food, the warmth of service, and the overall attention to detail. This is not just a restaurant—it’s a destination for anyone who appreciates the art of Indian cuisine. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu.

This restaurant in Bothell delivered an exceptional dining experience that left us in awe. Rarely do we find a place where every dish shines, but Aroma nailed it. The Masakali had modern Indian flavors, while the spring rolls were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The dahi puri was a delightful mix of tangy, spicy, and creamy, with crisp puris stealing the show. The burnt garlic fried rice was aromatic and smoky, a true standout. For dessert, the golden soufflé was light and indulgent, and the rasmalai was soft, juicy, and perfectly sweet in its cardamom-infused cream. The chicken dum biryani tastes very good and is flavorful. However, I’m giving 3 stars because of my last order experience. In a 3/4 tray order, most of the chicken pieces were drumsticks, and there were only one or two chicken thighs. This was disappointing, as I expected a better mix of pieces for a large order. Taste is great, but consistency in portion and cuts needs improvement.

Visited Aroma Restaurant for their Thursday evening breakfast buffet, and overall it was a really good experience.
One thing that makes this place different from a typical buffet is that it’s not a self-serve setup where you walk around and pick food yourself.
Instead, you sit at your table and order items directly from a menu, and everything is unlimited.
The variety on the menu was good, and the quality of the food was impressive for the price.
The dosa was especially good — I’d definitely recommend asking for it extra crispy, as they make it perfectly that way.
Service was smooth, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout the experience.
For $19 per person (around $22.09 including tax), I think it offers really good value considering the unlimited fresh-made food and overall experience.
If you enjoy South Indian breakfast items and want something different from a regular buffet setup, this place is definitely worth trying.

I absolutely love Aroma. The food is very delicious and tastes really authentic. Their drinks are really good and very affordable. The karaoke host, Jesse, is super friendly and fun, and they have a great sound system. The bartender, Chris, is also very friendly, and the owner, Mr. Sing, is so welcoming and inviting. It’s a very new spot, but it’s definitely worth going to if you want amazing Indian food, good vibes, and a fun karaoke night!

Biryanis are delicious and generous portions although a bit spicy so knock it down a level from whatever you normally order. Chicken Manchurian was great as well.

An excellent place to watch ongoing World Cup soccer games. They have a giant screen that creates a stadium-like ambience. Do check them out.

My second time here and phenomenal breakfast and brunch. You can’t go wrong with any choice on the menu and the best part are their drinks. Everything is a reasonable price and the food looks like it was made love can’t lie about that. More than satisfied with the services. Those who haven’t eaten here yet, take a chance and be blown away how good it is !

Aroma vegetarian restaurant is a good place for a peaceful meal. Tried their Thursday unlimited dosa idli South Indian.
What is good - all dosas except masala dosa. Chutney - both are good and so is the sambar.
Idli is soft and fluffy and try podi idli and podi dosa. Both good.
Pani puri is also pretty good.
What is not good - poori is too oily and didn’t go well with aloo sabji. Same with masala dosa - masala is not great.
Ambience - quite place
Parking - enough parking
Service - little slow with only 1-2 people serving

Best Tandoori Platter I’ve Had in Bothell!
Aroma Restaurant - Bothell, WA
I just had an amazing dinner at Aroma and had to share! I ordered their tandoori grilled platter, and honestly, it blew my expectations away. Everything on this plate was cooked to perfection — the paneer tikka was creamy and perfectly charred, the tandoori chicken was so tender and juicy, and the kebabs had this incredible smoky flavor that you can tell comes from proper grilling technique.
Here’s what impressed me the most:
• The char marks are real — not burned, just perfectly caramelized
• Each item tasted fresh and flavorful, with authentic spicing that’s balanced perfectly
• The portions are generous and worth every penny
• The presentation is beautiful (as you can see!) — makes the whole experience feel special

We ordered catering from Aroma on short notice for a semi-large gathering and they went above and beyond. The team was incredibly communicative and helped us choose the right dishes for our event. While getting it to our car, one of the trays spilled, and they replaced it for free without hesitation. Everyone at our party commented on how delicious the food was. Highly recommend Aroma for both their service and quality!

The food is delicious and very carefully prepared. The tandoori platter meats were tender, seasoned perfectly and very good quality. Our side dishes were excellent and unusual for most other Indian restaurants we've frequented. We are planning to make our way through the entire menu this year! Service was friendly and very attentive.

Few times I ordered mutton bryani and each time the meat seems to be very old, it was very dry and hard to chew, the color of meat is always dark even inside. You guys have to consider to change your goat meat supplier. The other food is good enough to eat, spice level is always right.

The food is delicious. Specially love the shrimp biryani as it has a South Indian flavor and the rice isn't too salty like some other restaurants.

The service was outstanding—attentive, warm, and knowledgeable, making us feel truly welcomed. Aroma masterfully blends authentic Indian cuisine with creative flair. We left thrilled and eager to return. Highly recommend this Bothell gem for an unforgettable meal!

Loved the food taste here! The quality seems amazing too-dosas, vada, poori(This was what I had). The best tiffins restaurant that I know of in the entire Seattle area. Went to have the Thursday Unlimited Tiffins thali yesterday and was lucky to know about this hidden gem??. My 3 year daughter also seems to have the food and we didn’t experience any side effects at all. Loved the ambience and the staff too.

Palek Paneer butter chicken and garlic naan. Pretty decent taste but portion size for all three was ridiculous small. Only about 6-8 pieces of chicken and paneer and 4 pretty small pieces of naan. Good quality and taste just wish there was more chicken and paneer.
Edit: after posting this review Aroma reached out and made this right! Excellent customer service there! I will return to have Aroma again!
