Rated 1.0 My grandma has been here for about 2 weeks and we are moving her promptly. The night time staff is incompetant and neglectful to the elderly patients here. My grandma used her call button for the past two nights, asking for her pain medication (which should be administered every 4 hours, but it not.) She has dementia and forgets to ask for medication, but they only give pain medication when the patients ask for it, which is ridiculous. My grandma actually called us crying several nights because her pain was so bad and she was not being attended to during the night. My grandmothers roomate used the call button in the middle of the night because she had to use the bathroom; an hour went by and she deficated in her bed. When she was too embarrased to ask for help, she cleaned herself up, and proceeded to use the call button again, and then had to wait another hour before a night time nurse came to help. My grandmother and her roomate told us that they stop drinking water around 4 in the afternoon, so they won't have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, because they know that no one will come and help them use the bathroom in time. That is very sick, in my opinion. The day time nurses are very good, but the night time staff ruins the centers reputation.

Rated 3.0 My father stayed here for seven nights respite while I took a vacation. Overall his stay was satisfactory. The admissions' director ask me a lot of questions regarding his likes and dislikes, his habits and routines, and I appreciated her gathering a lot of information. My father's nurse did the same thing and I appreciated his interest. The facility was clean. My father's skin gets flaky when it is not washed for several days and his ears were flaky when I picked him up. The rest of his body seemed ok. Most of the staff was friendly and warm. There was a couple who were mean, nasty, and rude. While at Putnam Ridge my father slid out of his wheelchair. The staff immediately contacted my family members and let them know that this happened. I appreciated the staff's quick response to let us know this happened.

Rated 5.0 My grandmother was in the A wing -the locked wing for dementia patients- for over 5 years and received loving, compassionate, impeccable care from June the head nurse in that wing. Her aids were also devoted to her. Kind and gentle and took time to fix her hair in braids and buns every day. She was well-loved and well cared for at Putnam Ridge. My family was more than satisfied with the care she received. We are eternally grateful to the staff at Putnam Ridge for giving my grandma a loving home when she could no longer live in ours.

Rated 5.0 My mom was in Putnam Ridge for a few months until she passed away last week. She was in 3 different units, first in Birch for rehab, then in Dogwood for a little bit and spent her last few months in Apple. I cannot say enough about the loving care she received......from the 2 Maureens, Lisa, Liz, Antonella and Jesse in Birch to the wonderful June Murphy and Diane in Apple. She was treated with so much love and affection even when she was having a bad day.....Putnam Ridge was a blessing not only to my mom but for me as well....I always knew she was well taken care of and treated with love and dignity. All I can say to you all is THANK YOU!!!!!!!! You guys are the best!!!!!!!
