About RagaChitra

RagaChitra promotes and supports Indian classical music and dance. Lessons on Carnatic Vocal and carnatic veena are offered for all ages, young and old, in Flushing and Manhattan in New York City. Lessons are also offered online for students who live outside of New York. Courses are offered at three levels-Beginners; Intermediate and Advanced. RagaChitra provides great opportunities for students to perform in various programs and events at temples and cultural organizations. They get an opportunity to become a member of the RagaChitra Vocal Ensemble and perform in RagaChitra’s productions. Performance opportunities instill confidence in them and motivate them to sing better. Veena Students, on reaching a reasonable level of proficiency, get an opportunity to be a member of the RagaChitra Veena Ensemble.
