United by the overlap in philosophy of their two lineages, Angela Rauscher and Jan Orland Go have come together to create the most comprehensive, well-rounded yoga teacher training in New York City that their hearts and minds can offer. Shiva Shakti School of Yoga is a union of the classical teachings of Hatha Yoga and the contemporary teachings of Vinyasa Yoga. This school is committed to diversity, equality and inclusion in all of our offerings and aim to diversify the pool of high level yoga teachers in the yoga industry. Named for the Hindu God & Goddess, Shiva represents consciousness, wisdom and knowledge; Shakti is the energy and nature of all things. You could say that Shiva is the knowledge that you will attain in our training, and Shakti is the experience of the teacher training itself. Only when Shiva and Shakti unite can action, movement and creation arise. This training program is appropriate for people who want to deepen their practice of yoga and for those who want to become professional yoga teachers.
