SVYASA-USA Houston Center is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to yoga education, research, and community service through yoga to promote health, happiness, and peace in society. Established in 1999 with support from the SVYASA Yoga University in Bangalore, India — the world’s first yoga university — the Houston center offers authentic yoga training, therapeutic yoga, and research-based wellness programs rooted in the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The center conducts a variety of yoga certification courses, workshops, and therapeutic yoga sessions to foster total personality development and improve quality of life. SVYASA Houston collaborates with several community partners such as India House, Asia Society, and the Hindu Temple of Woodlands to provide accessible yoga classes and wellness programs. The organization emphasizes both traditional and modern aspects of yoga and integrates scientific research to validate yoga's health benefits. Its senior instructors bring decades of experience, including therapeutic yoga integration with medical care such as programs at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
