About The Silvercrest Center
Silvercrest is an award winning long term care facility that houses inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services as well as the state's largest ventilator care program. Optima Award for Excellence - respiratory and ventilator care Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes- participant. However, Silvercrest Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Queens, New York has harnessed the resources and created the spirit and environment that are needed to excel in all three endeavors. It is, in fact, the synergy that has developed between our three patient care systems that allows us to deliver a level of quality for each that would be hard to achieve for individual services existing on their own. Just as our long term care residents benefit from the presence of a vibrant, on-site sub-acute rehabilitation program, and from the sophisticated medical resources needed to run our award-winning ventilator and respiratory care unit, so the lives of our ventilator patients are enriched by the recreational and pastoral resources of our long term care program.

Rated 1.0 The nurses were rude, lazy and unprofessional. My father was sent there on acct that he is a vent patient. He was neglected and abused. Not only did he catch pneumonia which almost killed him, they tried to hide that my father was dying...... We got him out after a few days at Jamaica Hospital, we had him transferred to a nursing home in Flushing- Dr. Benenson rehab facility is a God sent, our experience here has been the total opposite from the nightmare we went through at Silvercrest.

Rated 2.0 Their motto is giving quality to life. Leaving patients sitting in their own poop for hours is not "giving quality to life" when a patient is bed ridden, on a ventilator, cannot scream for help and all they want from life is to be cleaned!!! This should be addressed and not allowed. I asked a nurse to change my family member because she pooped at 8:30 pm and the answer I received was " we changed her at 5, we will change her at 10". This should NOT be tolerated.
