I am Ustad Sultan Khan''s only Disciple who plays the sitar rather than the sarangi. There were many people in attendance at my Gandha-Bandhan which is the ceremony for the Guru-disciple relationship called "Guru-Shishya Parampara", including Ustad Fazal Quereshi (Maestro Zakir Hussein''s brother) and Ustad Hidayat Khan among others. The ceremony was held in Ahmedabad, India at the Poonam Palace Hotel, during Saptak over 20 years ago. I have studied Indian Classical Music for over 25 years. I was born in Queens, New York.
