About Lyon Leifer Indian Music Class
Devendra Murdeshwar in the style and with the technical approach of Pannalal Ghosh, which I teach. I lived in India until 1970; continued studying with Murdeshwarji until his passing in 2000; continue come to India from time to time to learn music, mainly with Pt. L.K. Pandit and with Nayan Ghosh. I have received several Fulbrights, an AIIS Senior Fellowship and other awards for this work. I also have music degrees from Juilliard and Northwestern and substantial ongoing activities in Western and Indian music performance in the US.
