About Tablaman Nikhil Tikekar

Nikhil Tikekar, with his 27 years of experience, is well-known in the North East for his ability to provide the accompaniment piece which steadies the fulcrum; enabling the melody to permeate the listener’s soul. In addition to his career as a network analyst, he devotes a significant amount of his time to the art of teaching. His tabla students range in experience, ethnicity, and age; from 10 to 65. He taught at the college level for several years at Brown University School of Music. In 2005, he founded Indian Concert Series, an organization dedicated to the advancement of Hindustani Classical Music.
