My hair is not easy as it is super thick and took over 7 hours to complete, but Shruti was so pleasant during the whole experience. She let me pick my own music, brought me and my friend coffee, and took her time to make sure I got the best results! It was such a blast spending the day with her & I can’t wait to use her other services soon!! After several months of not taking care of my hair in quarantine and too long between treatments, I finally went in to see Shruti and had the Japanese Straightener touch up done. I had no idea how far gone my hair was (a botched highlight attempt at a salon had fried it beyond belief) until she walked me through what she would need to do to get it back to a healthy state, along with the treatment. She was knowledgeable and meticulous. The end result is a healthy head of hair that I can run my hands through and is so soft and shiny! I drove 1.5 hours to get to Shruti’s Bridal Salon and let me tell you, it’s worth it to drive twice that to bring your hair back to life like she did mine. Thank you Shruti for giving me my shiny healthy hair back!

Shruti is very accommodating and full service. She was able to do back to back days of events for me somewhat last minute with party makeup and hair and almost Bridal makeup and hair the next day. Shruti was very patient and worked on my hair for 5 hours. I have been to different salons and very few times I got the result I wanted, but this time the result is as I wished for so far. I washed my hair after 3 days and it is still pretty straight.

After several months of not taking care of my hair in quarantine and too long between treatments, I finally went in to see Shruti and had the Japanese Straightener touch up done. I had no idea how far gone my hair was (a botched highlight attempt at a salon had fried it beyond belief) until she walked me through what she would need to do to get it back to a healthy state, along with the treatment. She was knowledgeable and meticulous. The end result is a healthy head of hair that I can run my hands through and is so soft and shiny! Before, my hair was unruly, frizzy, damaged, broom-like, and poofy from over washing it, curling irons, and flat irons. It really has been a life changing experience since. I have been getting my lash extensions done by Vlada every three weeks for 5+ years. She always does a fantastic job and people have commented on just how natural they appear. Even I have to marvel from time to time how incredible they look. I’m not into getting my nails done, but I have to imagine I feel the same way someone with a fresh set does: beautiful, confident and ultra-feminine. If you are considering lash extensions, I do want to stress that they are a commitment and require upkeep. I don’t know that they would be worth it just for one event. But if you’re willing to commit to the maintenance, it is absolutely worth it.

I contacted Shruti’s Bridal Salon through a friend’s recommendation and I’m so glad I did: she was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I was very anxious about having my wedding make up done, rather than doing it myself – but unlike make up artists I’ve met in the past , Shruti really listened to what I wanted, and created an enhanced and long-lasting version of what I usually wear, which was perfect. They tailored hair and make up beautifully to a range of ages and styles, and my family totally loved them. Both hair and make up lasted all day and look fantastic in the photos. A HUGE thank you!

Shruti did my hair and makeup for my wedding this month, and would 100% recommend her to any bride. Her style is very natural, which worked perfectly for me as didn't want to be caked in makeup and hairspray, whilst still managing to create a look which stayed put all day. The morning of she was very relaxed, and kept me and the bridesmaids all on track so we could get out the door on time. Would definitely recommend doing a trial beforehand, it was really good value for money. I did loads of research on Virginia-based hair and makeup stylists before deciding on Shruti’s Salon, and I am so happy with my choice!

The work she did was great and she was so friendly and calm throughout the chaos on the wedding day. I flew all the way from Florida to get my Japanese straightening done from Shruti’s Salon. This was my 3rd time Straightening with Shruti’s Salon. My curly hair now looks so Amazing - straight -,silky and protein rich - healthy hair. She is so well experienced , since 20+ years. I don't usually wear makeup so was rather nervous at the beginning of my trial. But Shruti was professional, patient, reassuring and extremely friendly which calmed my nerves immediately. In Trial, She had spent time discussing ideas with me and tested a few options to ensure I was happy with the result. We kept in contact in the the months running up to the wedding and she gave me really useful tips on how to prepare for the big day. Shruti was brilliant! Incredibly knowledgeable, as cool as a cucumber, and executed the look I wanted perfectly. My hair and makeup were flawless and stayed throughout the whole day - I'm not even sure I had to reapply my lipstick at all. Shruti is a magician and I'd recommend her to anyone.

I cannot emphasize enough how magical Vijay made my wedding day. I am not someone who enjoys being the center of attention, but she made me feel beautiful, made my hair look gorgeous, made my makeup look natural but flawless for photography, draped my saree like no one has ever done before. Although I hesitated at times, in the end I was glad I had put my full trust in her, because she knew much better than I do what would be best for my wedding day. She made my wedding day infinitely easier. She was someone I relied on heavily. She would take any free moment to try to touch up my makeup/hair/saree. She has a calm, understanding aura about her as well, that would put any anxious bride at ease. SHE IS THE BEST, NO ONE CAN DO BETTER!

WOW! What an amazing experience! I went to Vijay's house for the very first time this last past Friday, or on November 17th. It was nothing short of LUXURY! 1 HR of relaxation and TLC!!! I was so impressed with her comprehensive treatments. She gave me an exfoliant, mask, steam, extraction for white heads, face moisturizer, moisturizing hand mittens, and everything was warmed up beforehand even the cleansers! I was SO RELAXED! I left not even wanting to put my music on. I just wanted the peace that I felt when leaving her establishment. My skin also looks better since my first session with her. Not to mention, she is VERY AFFORDABLE. $70 for one hour and I got sooo much. I left a decent tip because it was well deserved. Book a visit SOON!

I already knew she would be amazing because she was my mother's hair and MUA for my Sikh wedding and did a phenomenal job not only on the day, but had given her Both a trial run for the makeup along with a facial for preparing for the big day. To say it simple: My mother was glowing on my big day and looked absolutely stunning. I vowed I'd make sure I went to see aunty at some point to make sure I got the same facial my mom did - and finally got my chance today. What an amazing experience. Vijay Seoni only uses quality products - and her technique is immaculate. I'm not too sure how two hours passed but she made everything so comfortable and at ease. She walks you through each step - every product she uses - what they are intended to do - and the best part was watching her take the time to analyze your skin to make sure the routine she does is catered to your issues and needs. She has specific products for every skin type, and takes the added time to really explain what you're getting done, and also takes the time to explain how you can continue a good skin regime (whether it's with or without the products she uses). I can honestly say my skin feels beyond flawless, I can't remember the last time it felt this smooth and clean. She also did the vitamin c infusion for my skin - and I can't believe the difference it made. I am beyond impressed by her work, and more impressed with her hospitality and how at ease she made me feel when I walked in unsure of what to expect. You cannot find quality work better priced - I guarantee you this much. I will most certainly be returning - and hope if you got this far into my review - you'll support and go check her work out for yourself! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Getting to work with Vijay aunty was wonderful! She styled me for a dance performance and I was so happy with the results! I sent her a few photos of the look I was envisioning and she executed it so beautifully on the day of the performance. She also exercised a lot of caution given the current situation and made sure I felt comfortable with the way everything was set up while she was doing my hair and make-up. She was great about listening to what my vision/preference for my makeup was, as well as making valuable suggestions based on her many years of experience. The quality of the makeup was very good, and it looked great for the entire afternoon and evening. She was easy to get in touch with via text or on the phone. She and her partner for hairstyling, Savi, arrived right on time--maybe even a little early--and were good with time management. They made sure I was done and happy with everything before they moved onto others, many of whose makeup/hair were unplanned (something I've seen done terribly at other weddings). Everyone was ready in time. I recommend her highly to anyone looking for a bridal makeup artist in the DC/Baltimore area.

Vijay really helped me have a dream Indian wedding, since i didn't really know what i was doing. Vijay on the fly made earring support chains for me, which helped my ears and earrings last throughout the wedding and reception. my Indian mother-in-law was thrilled with everything. hiring Vijay was one of the best things i did for my wedding. my makeup was flawless and stayed that way all night!
