Some biryani are good. Some are bad. Potlam biryani is bad. Chicken and goat biryani were good already during weekends.

1. 4.5/ 5 for the buffet , it was very good 2.1/5 for the lady at the front who receives the guests , poor service and ignores and don’t respond to customers requests

Highly recommended for the food but do yourselves a favor and get takeout. They’ve always been short staffed for dine-in for the past few months and just need to disable their that option on their profile.

Very packed around 1pm during weekend buffet. There were a decent number of options but pretty salty on average. What disappointed me a bit was the naan was kinda dry.

Moderate buffet. Spicy. Water had floaters! (See photo!) Just the basics for $23. They require you Pay before you eat!

I am a huge fan of Brundavan. I regularly order from here. Since last few weeks, I observed that the food quality and the taste has come down. If this keeps going I would stop ordering from here.

We felt lucky to be served so quickly. Hope the management increases the staff soon, would be too bad for this restaurant to shut down due to poor service

Didn't impress us, but wasn't bad. We got paneer biryani, haleem, bagara Baigan, and mutton Lagan Gohst. We asked for the biryani and lagan Gohst to be spicy. The haleem was from pista house, so it was fine, but you can get it from other places. Nothing was remotely spicy, nor that flavorful in general. The lagan Gohst was the best, but still didn't stand out to us. This place isn't bad, it's just that there's lots of good indian places in south bay so the competition is really stiff.

The quality of the food and taste left a lot to be desired. The staff and service are good. Overall an average experience.

Gongura paneer biryani and butter paneer was good! Also their garlic naan is really nice! Only thing I didn’t liked was the service, server was taking things up even while we did not finished eating yet and also got us bill too! (FYI- it wasn’t their closing time)

I ordered boneless chicken biryani and my experience was not so good. Literally I had to search for chicken pieces and found only 5. For 16$ not worth it

We dined for dinner, service is good and warming, food tastes rich in flavor (kebabs) and we’ve been here specifically for Haleem, did reach expectations. However, the only dish i was very disappointed is Garlic naan. It’s very white on top, burnt at the bottom, undercooked and the bread is heavy. It’s a shame that such a huge restraunt served a messy naan. Of course the naan was pulled out from billing though. But i see lack of persistence in people that a single dish speaks about the reputation of restaurant. This messy bread surpassed the grill, skipped from eyes of the sous chef, head-chef and the waiter/waitress to the dining table. None noticed it prior serving to customer. I notice vibrations in my gut and darn hungry, hence pulled of edible parts from break and enjoyed with entree. My bottom line is don’t expect customers to come back with complaints, better make it right in first go, this leads to saving everyone’s crucial time spent in the restaurant and a happy customer with a successful business with splendid feedback & ratings. Sorry, but honestly, This is the only reason i gave 3 stars!

The Gongura Chicken Potlam Biryani and Khubani ka Meetha with ice cream were delicious. The service and ambiance were incredibly peaceful and pleasant.

Food is good but extremely spicy even for Indians. Even if you ask them to make it less spicy they cannot change it. The biryanis especially are almost non edible because of spice levels.

They’re out of Haleem but others didn’t disappoint at all. Recent takeout: Ordered gongura chicken biryani, veg biryani, paneer biryani, haleem and hara bhara kabab. Biryanis were super spicy. If you’re into spiciness, there you go. Haleem is below average, actually bland and less meaty, quality is coming down. Hara bara kebab is better off for dine-in, though tasty became soft and mushy as packed hot.

This eatery is done up in warm colors and surprising textures. If weapon-level spicy is your thing, do help yourself to their biryani. The cream stone chicken tikka is yummy! The soft serve ice cream is of no particular flavor. Priced at $24 per person , this eatery offers a wide variety of dishes.

It’s a great restaurant to enjoy telugu food. I visited this place twice in a week already. We ordered jalli chicken and gongura chicken biryani. They were both delicious and full of flavor. We revisited on a weekend for their buffet and that was almost amazing too. The only letdown was their biryani in the buffet. Everything else was great and totally worth it.

We ordered mutton lagaan ghosht and expected that it would have goat meat but instead we were served lamb meat. Food quality is good, quantity is also good and service was great!

Definitely a very good restaurant in El Camino. Their hara bara kabab veggie and chicken ones are good. Peshawari grilled chicken is yummy. I have tried close to 10 times. Every time the quality of the items I mentioned are top class. Prepared with perfection and respect to the people who eat. They have a very good Gongura chicken biriyani too. There was a wait for dine-in when we got to this place on a Friday night. We ordered Gobi Manchurian, Hara bara kabab, Hyderabadi sharbat, Garlic naan, Veg and Egg biriyani and Nizam Hyderabadi veg. All of the items we ordered were good. But there are few comments due to which I have knocked off a star. - Quantity of the Gobi was not great. It was almost as if the chef decided to ration it on a Friday night. - Kebab and Sharbat were really enjoyable. - In case of biriyani, I was happy that the it was flavorful but it could have used just a bit of heat (felt a bit bland). - The naan and curry was very enjoyable. There is ample parking.

We went as a group for dinner to Brundavan. The service and ambience of the restaurant was good. We ordered 3 types of biriyani, naan with chettinadu chicken gravy. We enjoyed the naan and chicken gravy, it was well made and was tasty. Biriyanis were a bit underwhelming, as the taste was average.

Gongura Paneer Biryani is heaven. Most items are too spicy by default, need to request for less spice level. Fast prep in case of online or phone orders. Consist taste so far!

$$ Sorry no pics, but was really hungry to take snaps. I could tell you the sauce was tasty right amount of seasoning. The heat was slight, the way I like it. They recognized I was not Indian and Auto little heat. Thumbs up. Chicken very tender and used thighs I believe. It was very tasty and the naan bread was okay, Ive had better . For what I ordered, it was flavorful “butter. Chicken”. As always , post wherever your palate takes you.

I would have given a five star. The taste is unbeatable but the service was definitely lacking! I got the Andra goat curry and it was very tasty! It was a lot of bone-in meat which is a good thing and it was juicy and tender.

Chicken chettinaad, murg mushallam, Natukodi curry is super. Double ka meetha is epic. We ordered Malai kofta and what food color in the curry. We can literally use that to paint. I mean washed hands 4 to 6 times still the residue on fingertips. Seems like the thumb was deep in the curry ??(reference: image) But I think the color was not just for kofta. In general these guys use a lot of food color which is of concern. Buffet is not that great and priced heavy. The icecream vending machine vends like poop. Guys, please fix it. The mango icecream tastes like some artificial syrup. Gulab jamun tastes like its made out of bread.

We got the chicken tikka and garlic naan Pros -tikka sauce was the perfect level of spicy. wasn’t too spicy that you couldn’t taste anything else. But still good. Sauce was the best part. Loads of flavor - chicken was clay oven baked within the sauce which is nice to see cause that takes extra effort -naan was great. Clay baked correctly Con -didn’t ask for spice level -chicken was a little overdone on some smaller pieces -chicken to sauce ratio was low. Left with lots of sauce left over -didn’t come with rice but they never do at any restaurant

Great ambience. Looks very new. The servers were very polite and quick. We ordered mango lassi which was great, kadhai paneer and laccha paratha which was okay and veg dum biryani which was exceptional. Good hygiene as well

Went to this place after seeing potlam biriyani… it was fine decent boneless biriyani nothing special . Liked chicken 65 and mutton dum biriyani more . Disappointed with pathar ka ghost it was a tad bit cold . Overall decent experience

We tried gobi manchurian, but it didn’t feel like gobi manchurian at all it was a lot sweeter. Brundavanams special gongura paneer biryani was not up to the hype in fact the biryani didn’t taste like biryani something was missing. But the veg dum biryani was too good, this gave a little better satisfaction from the other dishes.

Good food. Friendly staff with a sense of humor, especially the young man from Hyderabad. Clean place. Nice interiors. The only thing is, the staff didn’t wear any mask. While serving the food, they were making pleasant small talk, but after CoVd, my thoughts were, ‘Hopefully his spit doesn’t spray all over my food.’ Other than that, it’s a nice place to have delicious food.

Overall pretty decent for a buffet service. Make sure you get some clarity on some of the dishes. The “fry” items may not always be “fried”. I got confused on some chicken fry when it came out with some sauce etc., I realized each chef and restaurant adopts their “local” lingo - so depending on their “native” inspiration the dishes have their own variation. So just get some clarity on that before you order!

Good food, GOAT curry was good. Mutton Biryani was flavorful but meat was a bit dry. Roti was good. Mirchi ka salan that comes with biryani was very good. Overall good place to try. Buffet is only available from Fri to Sunday. Will try buffet next time.

Had a lunch buffet on Saturday. I was impressed with their freshly made appam. I had three pieces and my wife had 4. The vada and parka from the main food station were delicious too. The only thing I am not satisfied with was not too many choices of veg curry dishes. The shrimp curry also looked not so fresh. Other than that, everything was good. Will definitely pay another visit again

We went on a lunch buffet on friday, the buffet had a large selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian items. Chicken appetizers and biryani were too good. Loved the food and definitely will visit again with family and friends. Far better than ulavacharu and sankranthi restaurant buffets.

Good, tasty food and a lot of options to choose from. A tad bit costly than other Indian restaurants close by, but the taste makes up for it. Be mindful of hot and spicy food though. Not overwhelming but not suitable for everyone. I guess the worst thing was the service as one of the ordered dishes was not included in our take out package. Better you check it out before leaving the parking lot. Update: food taste is not consistent. The biryani this time was way more spicy and a lot less and low quality meat in it. Same with another mutton dish.

The biryani was tasty and flavourful but a bit too spicy for my liking. The gravy and raita didn’t complement the dish well. It would be better to mention the spice level option while ordering

We had chicken gongura potlam biryani also Gobi manchuruiya and cut Mirch as a starter . They are very taste and authentic . we enjoyed with all and I love to go again .

One of the best places to get authentic Indian food. You order anything there and it will come out good. My favorites here are their hara bhara kebab, boneless chicken biryani, and butter chicken (+ naan). Best!!!!!

We rented the Brundavan banquet hall and had food catered by Brundavan restaurant. We had an excellent experience. Staff was courteous. The owner Kamal went out of his way to assist us in every way. Food was very delicious. We had a great time. I highly recommend Brundavan restaurant as well as the banquet hall.

We had a dinner just now with family , I personally don’t give any reviews to any restaurants but I want give my personal feelings about Brundavan. It's Really delicious with perfect spicy especially Gongura Chicken Potlam biryani , This is first time we tasted which comes with layers of Gongura and boneless chicken(Perfect combination of Gongura and Chicken) wrapped in Egg Omelet. Boneless Dum chicken biryani. Kids also enjoyed with Paneer Malai Mutter saga and Garlic naan.

Brundavan has a very good ambiance and they have very good options for all kind of Indian food varieties. It’s the best place to visit and must try spot for everyone. The staff over there are very kind.

Great menu with nice varieties of biryani. Food is really tasty. We ordered gongura chicken biryani, potlam chicken biryani among many other choices. Gongura chicken biryani was so fresh and delicious with right amount of spices. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a taste of good biryani and for authentic Indian food.

Veg & Non-veg platter was a very good value for money, we got premium quality food for four people for just $50. All dishes are so delicious, just take care of packing naan/roti such that it doesn't harden by the time we reach home. Wonderful Falooda with nuts being crispy tasty even though they are embedded with ice-cream. We tried different varieties of items as we visited in a large group. Every item is tasty with good spice level. Kids enjoyed Roti with butter chicken, Dum biryani, Methi Malai Mutter Saag and we all enjoyed several appetizers, Potlam Biryani. Best Biryani in town so far. I am vegetarian so I always have Gongura Paneer Biryani or Spicy Paneer Biryani. I visit them once a week and they keep their taste unchanged every time. Clear winner among all Biryani places.

I am addicted to their mutton biriyani and mutton kebabs. Live their chicken biriyani too, but little soucy. And all the chicken kebabs are simply great. In all of this stretch of El Camino, Brundavan has the best food. Also try their prawn fry, and Gongura chicken curry. And Andhra mutton curry. Simply excellent.

We dine first time in this restaurant. Nice clean and friendly staff. Had chicken shahi Zaffrani which is very good, not too salty and you can test other indignants. Paneer masala was little sweet, some might like that way. Chicken tikka was good. Plain Nan is pricey. Over all food is tasty than other restaurants.

The biryani here was fantastic. We were on a short trip here and ended up eating at brundavan twice. This is definitely some of the best biryani we've had outside of India truly delicious! I hope to visit again.

Tried for the first time and food was awesome. Hara bhara Kabab - great, soft, little spicy. Tasted very fresh, didn't expect it is gonna be so good. Channa Bhindi - never heard of channa and bhindi combo but flavor was amazing. Bit oily but great taste. Chicken tikka masala - good flavor, not sweet nor spicy. Chicken pieces were less compared to curry but overall good. Garlic naan - nice thin naan with good garlic flavor. Tasted good in dine in, might get hard if to go. Tandoori Roti - Nice flavor. Liked it. Ambience was good. Nice clean restaurant. Plenty of parking. Will definitely come again.

This review is for the banquet hall with catering. We booked for our babyshower. Our contact was through Raghu the manager at Brundavan. He was very attentive and responsible throughout the event . Guest’s really loved the food and it was filled in timely manner.The hall is very clean and nicely maintained. Highly recommended.

I recently traveled to Santa Clara, CA, on a business trip and went for dinner at Brundavan on the recommendation of a colleague. The first time my colleague and I ate at this excellent restaurant, I was sure I would go back again and again. I enjoy various cuisines on my US trips, but after a few days the nagging feeling of missing the home food always sets in. From that perspective, Brundavan positively impacted my trip experience by making me feel at home with food. The cuisine is authentic coastal Andhra/Hyderabadi and North Indian, with homemade spices and other ingredients. I spoke to the chefs, with a thorough understanding of Indian food attitudes. I ate six meals in all during my trip:) Let me rate them here for you: Potlam Chicken - It's easily among the best chicken curries I've eaten - even in India. It's spicy, and the andhra flavor is rich. 5/5. Fish Fry: Nothing can beat a crispy fried fish with Telugu masalas in coastal Andhra style. Yum! 4.9/5. Full Fish appetiser: When you are at Brindavan, you cannot miss eating fish. They excel at it. 4.9/5. Hyderabadi Biryani and Patthar ka Ghost: This one's a real surprise. While the fish fry and potlam chicken were cooked in Andhra flavours, Biryani and Patthar were made in perfect Hyderabadi style. Biryani lovers will have fun! 4.8/5. Dal Rice: After a binging on meats, the simple dal rice provides the much-needed relief to the tummy. It's juicy and yummy. 5/5. I strongly recommend that anyone who loves or wants to taste authentic Indian food should definitely visit Brundavan. Very Hygienic, best service, awesome place. Trust me, you will be delighted!

I love all of their curries and my husband is addicted to the mutton biryani. We used to go to Pista House in Milpitas behind the Great Mall and was so sad when they left. Brundavan is the same menu and owners and same yumminess! So happy to have found them.

Don't miss the weekend lunch buffets here. They have a great selection of chicken and fish appetizers, and amazing mutton briyani. The nonveg curries are great too. Sometimes they offered dosa or appam as part of buffet, sometimes they don't. The nonveg curries taste better with dosa or appam than naan. The downside is the long wait time when you go between 12-1:30 pm. You might have to wait at least 20 mins. Sometimes there's no one at the front desk to add you to the waiting list and that could be frustrating as well.

Quality of food was good. Laccha paratha actually had so many lacchas. Amazing! Tandoori roti and butter naan was also good enough. Gongura chicken curry and gobhi Manchurian are my recommendations. Paneer lababdar could have been a little spicier. Food was not excessively oily or high on salt. Would definitely revisit. Clean. Prompt service.

This guys have one of the best paneer biryani in the town. The quantity justifies the price. A plate is good for two people. Also ordered their stuffed mirchi which was well made and had the right spice level. Convenient location with plenty of parking space. If you are a vegetarian would highly recommend their paneer biryani.

Great place. Had a pleasant experience, food is delicious and staff is very friendly. Had to wait for some time to get a seat at 10pm on a Friday night but the service was quick and food was really tasty. We had Brundavan Paneer Biryani and samosas and both of them tasted really good. Overall a good place at late hour as well :)

Great authentic Indian food, (Andhra style, a state in India). Great service, great menu, great flavor. Also very extended hours (till midnight). Did not try lunch buffet, but has a great variety. Also in good location. Can be a little spicy for regular American people so be sure to ask for mild spicy.

Strongly recommend this place for Andhra good, I think it is underrated. Tandoori roti is great as long as you don't mind it being a bit buttery, amazing taste with its flavors, as long as you have it when it is hot. Plain Dal is really good. Chicken biriyani is great, a bit oily, but great taste. Nice place, decently good ambience, people there are nice.

The taste is great, ingredients seem fresh and armoas are subtle but unique. The quantity though is subjective. The curry is barely enough for two and usually enough for one person unless you have appetizers. Place is clean and we'll maintained. You need to keep asking for serving spoons as they seem to forget that people spoons to serve the items. Make sure you ask that as soon as the item arrives.

I used to come to this place 2 years ago and at that time I gave 4 stars review but today I am just amazed by everything this restaurant has to offer. Food - each item in buffet was prepared with perfection. The taste and quality of the food, was superb. I had to wait 10 min for naan, but they brought me fresh Kulcha naan hot off the pan. The wait was totally worth it. Service - I spoke to owner/manager, he was super nice guy. The staff worked extremely hard to get tables ready and consistently getting emptied plates off the tables. Please please please ?? TIP these guys generously. They deserve every penny. This restaurant is a must stop if you are in the Bay area. I will sure be visiting this place many years to come, if God allows it. This restaurant is in my Top all time favorite in US. I waited almost 30 minutes for the table and I saw 2 different couple who came after me got a table ahead of me. I asked them how long will it be for a table. Best place for a decent Buffet. It's not out of the world but most of the items in the Lunch buffet were delicious and flavorful. Aapam and coconut milk was my most fav and then the Chicken Tandoori, pakora were great too. Biryani was good but not a real Dum biryani. Overall, I liked the food here and the ambience was great!

I live in Canada and my husband lives here in San jose. This Restaurent was introduced to us by one of our friend, in her birthday party. We had mutton dum biriyani. It was the best biriyani I ever had in 29 years of my life. I am basically from Kerala, and we have very good biriyanis, but this was like another level. From then onwards when ever my husband visits me in Vancouver he brings me a Biriyani from here.?? And we do take out every time I visits him here. Day before yesterday I dined in here for first time. The restaurent is very very clean and ambiance is also very good. (Bonus: they plays all my fav tamil songs ) HIGHLIGHT: The food tasted 100 times tastier when we did had it there. The taste and quality is very consistent. We were served by a guy named PRESTON, Best service we ever had in a restaurant. The way he serves the food and the happiness on his face while giving the food will fills our heart. He was so kind and polite. We even went the next day to try some new item descided not to have biriyani and haleem which was our staple. This day also we were lucky to be served by PRESTON. We tried appollo fish , mulagu bhaji and lacha parata OMG, how they make everything tastes this good? I have worked as waitress before and I know how it feels when people dine it just before closing. We went there pretty late. (Which we should not have done) Even at 11.30 working long PRESTON had the same energy. And smile on his face while serving. The kindness and love in his talk filled our hearts. Next time we are ready to wait until we get a table served by PRESTON ?? I want to write more but stopping here. Thanks ????

Excellent Friday lunch buffet, with wide variety and high quality. Good spice levels, very aromatic, not merely hot. My friend has a severe food allergy (nuts), and he was not only told which dishes to avoid: the server actually marked the labels above the buffet trays with a circled N so he wouldn't forget when going back for a second plate. Fresh naan brought directly to our table, also great.

I went to try weekend buffet at this place with my friend today. Pleasantly surprised. Quality of food was great. Lots of option in veg and non veg. Appam and Naan were served to the table. The items were replenished frequently and one doesn't have to wait like in few buffet places. Top notch service with folks coming to your table taking request for breads and clearing plates. Overall excellent experience at a very reasonable price.

Got the paneer and chicken biryani delivered, had to cancel and then reorder, they did a fab job delivering quickly and the foood was really goood too. Best biryani in the Bay Area.

We recently hosted a Diwali gathering at Banquet Hall at Brundavan, and it was a wonderful experience! The food was exceptional specially nizami handi and biryani.
