About Sangam Arts

Sangam Arts is an organization whose mission is to connect communities using Visual and Performing Arts. It also runs Mosaic America, a grass-roots movement to build American communities using Global Art created by local artists. Our mission is to help create and nurture strong intercultural connections between the Indian diaspora and the many vibrant cultures in the US through the use of visual and performing arts, i.e., the Dressing. We plan to accomplish this by facilitating innovative collaborations between dancers, musicians, writers and choreographers from diverse dance traditions ranging from Kathak, Bharatanatyam to Flamenco, Jazz and Folklorico, sponsoring workshops and lecture-demonstrations to help expand artistic horizons.
