About Spanish Guitar Lessons

Carlo Basile has a Master's Degree in Classical Guitar performance and pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University. As solo guitarist, Carlo has performed for hundreds of corporate and private events over the past 10 years. Carlo is the founder of Las Guitarras de Espana. He performs, composes, and produces music for the ensemble. He has taught Spanish guitar workshops in the Chicago area as well as places like Cebu (Philippines), Hanoi (Vietnam), and Chang Mai (Thailand). In 2015, Basile taught a class in Global Music at the Chicago Academy of the Arts. He also taught Spanish classical guitar privately and worked to prepare students in the repertoire required for university music programs. Basile teaches private lessons with a unique approach to Spanish guitar forms (classical and flamenco).
