Rated 5.0 While visiting my sister in Narberth with some friends we came here for supper on a Saturday night and we week not disappointed. The service was great, the menu excellent and we were delighted with every one of the dishes we ordered. Highly recommended.

Rated 4.0 Ekta is a new family friendly and yet elegant Indian restaurant in Bryn Mawr that serves an excellent Indian meal. Particularly delicious are some of their South Indian specialties - the Goan fish curry or shrimp curry, for example - items not found in many Indian restaurants. Also wonderful was the okra and the eggplant dishes, for those who like their veggies. Ekta's spinach was very tasty and different from the average Indian fare at most restaurants, We also loved the chicken and shrimp tikka masalas. The different naans were fun to try. We came with family - 4 children ages 6-16 and the waiter made sure that the food was served in a timely fashion and got our slightly crazy order absolutely perfect. Kudos to the staff.

Rated 5.0 This place is great - it is a nice atmosphere, very good service, BYOB and the food has flavors that will make your mouth sing with joy. If you are a carnivore do try the Lamb Chettinad, ummmmmm. Mango chicken, and the vegetable dishes are also good bets but to be honest, I have never had anything here that I.

Rated 5.0 I like Indian food very much, but my husband - not so much. However this food is so delicious and beautifully presented, that he actually enjoys coming with me. The staff is pleasant, and on top of things - you never have to ask for water. Wonderful !

Rated 5.0 We really love this place, and pretty much only go to BYOB's. Living in Bryn Mawr gives us the luxury of having so many choices of great BYOB! My mother has a friend that drives down here once a week from Reading to go to Ekta and insist it's the best Indian food he's ever had. I have to go...

Rated 3.0 Went there to get my indian food fix and ordered a lamb biryani. It was flavorful but the basmati rice was kinda mashed. For those familiar with Indian cuisine, well cooked basmati rice would retain the look of the grain and taste as well.

Rated 4.0 We tried different dishes on several visits and Ekta never failed to deliver great taste. The food is loaded, though, so to avoid if you are calorie conscious. Timing is slow like any restaurant that really cooks the food. Worth it.

Rated 5.0 I like coming to Ekta for the variety of vegetarian dishes and the wonderful flavors. The curry was especially delicious.

Rated 5.0 I have eaten at Ekta at least 8 times and have had an outstanding meal each and every time. The staff is efficient but not overly friendly, the food is great at a very reasonable price. I am from out of town and wish we had a restaurant like this in our town.

Rated 5.0 Many times we do take-out, but it's much nicer to relax completely with attentive service and quiet comfortable atmosphere. A near endless array of palate pleasers keeps this vegetarian completely interested and satisfied. Have not had one disappointing dish ever. Will keep coming back.

Rated 3.0 We were just driving around exploring the area and I decided to hunt down an Indian resto. I chose this place based on other reviews and was not disappointed - there were lots of vegetarian choices and of course the meaty choices to keep both me and my husband happy. All was very flavorful. Spicy means spicy (unlike in California).

Rated 5.0 The flavors were very nice. It seemed quite pricey for what it was. Service was very slow. Parking was extremely difficult. There are a few lots within a block or two but they all only have a few spots.

Rated 4.0 This place has the best Indian food around! I'm a vegetarian and have tried most dishes on their menu and have never been disappointed! If you like spicy try the kadai paneer.

Rated 5.0 My wife and I decided to begin our journey of eating at all of the quaint restaurants along the Main Line. Ekta was our first stop. The food melted in our mouth. We split an appetizer, my wife had an order of bread (I had to pass because I eat gluten-free) and we each had a vegetarian entrée). Total cost was about $39. My brother frequents the Ekta in Fishtown, although he orders takeout there. We would definitely go back.

Rated 4.0 We went on a Saturday evening and the place was busy, but not full. We were seated right away, but then ignored for fifteen minutes until I asked for a waiter to help us. Putting that aside, the food and the rest of the meal was excellent. I had an Aloo Papri Chaat that was one of the best I've had from more than a dozen I've tasted over the years. A very nice blend of lentil wafers, chick peas, yogurt and spices. My main dish, a coconut chicken curry, was as equally well spiced and prepared. Not an inexpensive meal, but well worth the price. BYOB.
