Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. The best thing was that they were on the flooor dancing with us. I have never seen anything like this before.

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. They sang old Hindi Bollywood songs, as well as Marathi, Gujrati and Bengali. Truly versatile singers who could sing old and new songs both. Last fall (Oct 2023) for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, we wanted a unique live musician, and Dilshaan Music & Entertainment made the event truly memorable! From their live dhol during a recreation of my father’s baraat to lovely vocals of old Bollywood film songs and ghazals, accompanied by tabla, during dinner time, we were treated to something special. My parents were pleasantly surprised by the familiar selection of songs, which Dilshaan had customized as per our request list (even incorporating our native Sindhi folk culture). After dinner, though we were a relatively small group of 60, the singing and dhol up close at the dance floor was amazing…even got a few people to dance who hardly ever do! Met this husband and wife duo at a friends 50th Birthday party. Wife being a Doctor and Husband being a Senior Director, on weekends, you can see them following their passion. And this is precisely what makes them different from others. I was quite impressed the way they handled and managed the entire event. What I specifically liked was, unlike other DJs where they play the songs, Vinay and Aparna sang those songs... and that too non-stop, without looking at the lyrics. This reflects their preparation & dedication towards Mehekte Sur Icing on the cake was when Dr. Aparna sang Jaudya na ghari aata vaajle Bara and Vinay sang Zhingat. I was totally surprised. This duo recently DJ'd and hosted a surprise party I attended. I had so much fun. The music was fantastic. They joined in the fun. They were also super nice.

They were amazing. Kept the party moving when there was a slow part. Their choice of music was perfect. I didn't give a playlist because I wasn't very familiar with Punjabi music. But their selection was absolutely fantastic. They set me up with Bhangra dancers and a DHOL player. Coordinated with all of them for timing and music selection. It was absolutely fantastic. It was everything we wanted for the surprise birthday party.

Over this past Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2024) I gave my mom a surprise birthday party for her 75th. Pre-planned everything a month ahead of time. For some reason I could not find the type of entertainment that I was looking for in the Southern California area. I was the photographer for an event where vinay was managing. There were 3-4 games where literally everyone from the guests played and kudos to vinay for including in them.

Dilshaan and crew performed at a NYE dawat of mine and everyone was beyond impressed! From arriving early, they quickly set up on the living room floor and played 1.5+ hr set of well known ghazals, some modern songs and crowd requests. They even let 2 of the guests sing with them! Last fall (Oct 2023) for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, we wanted a unique live musician, and Dilshaan Music & Entertainment made the event truly memorable! From their live dhol during a recreation of my father’s baraat to lovely vocals of old Bollywood film songs and ghazals, accompanied by tabla, during dinner time, we were treated to something special. My parents were pleasantly surprised by the familiar selection of songs, which Dilshaan had customized as per our request list (even incorporating our native Sindhi folk culture). After dinner, though we were a relatively small group of 60, the singing and dhol up close at the dance floor was amazing…even got a few people to dance who hardly ever do! A week before the event, we discussed in detail the event flow and finalized AV needs, so that traveling in from Raleigh NC to our gathering in Roanoke VA, the setup worked well. I would highly recommend Dilshaan as a talented professional for special occasions.

Mehekte Sur Jodi was more than just singing. They coordinated a very personalized theme and engaged the crowd. Babyshowers are usually games and all but this added a little variety to the event

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough

This is one amazing Jodi! We connected so well in the initial conversation regarding my event, that I just had to find a way to make it work for them to sing in Chicago for my friends and family.
