Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. They sang old Hindi Bollywood songs, as well as Marathi, Gujrati and Bengali. Truly versatile singers who could sing old and new songs both. Last fall (Oct 2023) for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, we wanted a unique live musician, and Dilshaan Music & Entertainment made the event truly memorable! From their live dhol during a recreation of my father’s baraat to lovely vocals of old Bollywood film songs and ghazals, accompanied by tabla, during dinner time, we were treated to something special. My parents were pleasantly surprised by the familiar selection of songs, which Dilshaan had customized as per our request list (even incorporating our native Sindhi folk culture). After dinner, though we were a relatively small group of 60, the singing and dhol up close at the dance floor was amazing…even got a few people to dance who hardly ever do! They were amazing. Kept the party moving when there was a slow part. Their choice of music was perfect. I didn't give a playlist because I wasn't very familiar with Punjabi music. But their selection was absolutely fantastic. They set me up with Bhangra dancers and a DHOL player. Coordinated with all of them for timing and music selection. It was absolutely fantastic. Over this past Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2024) I gave my mom a surprise birthday party for her 75th. Pre-planned everything a month ahead of time. Last fall (Oct 2023) for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, we wanted a unique live musician, and Dilshaan Music & Entertainment made the event truly memorable! From their live dhol during a recreation of my father’s baraat to lovely vocals of old Bollywood film songs and ghazals, accompanied by tabla, during dinner time, we were treated to something special. My parents were pleasantly surprised by the familiar selection of songs, which Dilshaan had customized as per our request list (even incorporating our native Sindhi folk culture). After dinner, though we were a relatively small group of 60, the singing and dhol up close at the dance floor was amazing…even got a few people to dance who hardly ever do! A week before the event, we discussed in detail the event flow and finalized AV needs, so that traveling in from Raleigh NC to our gathering in Roanoke VA, the setup worked well. I would highly recommend Dilshaan as a talented professional for special occasions.

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough

This is one amazing Jodi! We connected so well in the initial conversation regarding my event, that I just had to find a way to make it work for them to sing in Chicago for my friends and family. We are big music enthusiasts so having them at our event really energized everyone in the room, from my 2 year old to my father in law and his senior friends. The most important thing to us was keeping everyone engaged and on the dance floor when the DJ played his music. Vinay and Aparna were able to provide a great sangeet experience,which also included traditional Punjabi live singing, for our diverse guests (Indian, non Indian, young, old) . We have gotten great feedback from our guests and cannot thank Mehekte Sur enough.

Vinay and Aparna were wonderful and their entertainment was great. We had a family lunch and afternoon garba party, and everyone enjoyed the songs during lunch and the lively garba and raas music. All our guests danced the entire time for garba from age 8 to 80. I received many compliments for the excellent song selection, but truthfully Vinay and Aparna came prepared and made me look good! I highly recommend them for your next party, they are professional, friendly, energetic and well prepared. 5 stars!

Mehekte Sur performed at our Annual Diwali event and their performance rocked. They were so lively and energetic and their song medley was pure adrenaline. They had pretty much everyone on their feet and the crowd went crazy. Super performance by a very talented singing duo. They will feature in all our future events. A big thanks to them for their participation and support in this key community event. Mehekte Sur performed for our engagement ceremony and they did an outstanding job. The thing that we loved most was the meticulous planning and the effort they spent prepping for the right mix of songs, including our favorite songs. Everyone at the party had a great time and the coordination for the performances was managed extremely well by them.

My daughter-in-law engaged the Mehekte Sur jodi for a family event and we were really impressed with the sheer breadth of their talent. They are probably the only couple that can sing Bollywood, Marathi and Gujarati songs effortlessly. Crowd engagement was done really well and the live musicians were awesome. Mehekte Sur did a fabulous job at our wedding reception. We had a good mix of Indians and Caucasian friends/colleagues and DJ Vinay did an amazing job. Excellent mix of English and Desi songs. Live singing was on the mark and added a good variety to the offering. Two thumbs up.

We attended the Jhakaas New Year party organized by Mehekte Sur and hands-down it was the BEST New Year Party that we have attended in a long time - excellent setting, good food, open bar, separate kids play area, good DJ..... the list is endless. Mehekte Sur team did an awesome job organizing a Ghazal evening for our private family friends gathering recently. Their ensemble was great, complete with Manoj Ji leading the ghazal front preformed very soulfully and Prateek Ji at tabla. Evening ended with live songs from Aparna and Vinay. Great time and Mehekte Sur team was really energetic and in tune with the evening's mood!

I hired Mehekte Sur for a house party to celebrate my wife's birthday. I had hired them since they sing Marathi songs. All our guests were amazed by their talent and we got full value for our money. Super variety of songs including fast numbers that had all of us dancing. Super jodi and very personable.

I saw the Mehekte Sur jodi in action at the Nirvana Anniversary celebration. They were awesome with their live singing as well as the DJ music which had everyone on the floor. Great selection of songs - Punjabi, Gujarati, Bollywood..... Vinay was proactive and had our tracks for our dance performance all set up beforehand. Highly recommended!

After having followed Mehekte Sur via FB videos for several months, we finally had the pleasure of experiencing a live performance this past weekend. Vinay and Aparna are absolutely fantastic. Their energy and chemistry is magical, and versatility is phenomenal. Five stars all the way!!
