Rated 5.0 erendipity...was on vacation in Toronto for a week and ended in this tiny place when the words "Kothu" popped up on my yelp. Kothu in tamil literally translates to mash/tear something. I was treated to a most wonderful and authentic Kothu Parotta (Called Roti in this joint) that i have had away from home. The spice combination, hotness and roti consistency was perfect and the portion was generous. Even the Vegetarian Kothu Roti was mind-blowing (traditionally a kothu is made with egg or combination of egg and meats). I have to thank John (the chef, who turned out to be from my hometown of Madras) for making my Tamil New Years day really memorable and will most definitely be back to this place whenever i'm in town or might even fly down for the weekend just to have more of this...Also have to mention that the mango lassi was very good and eagerly awaiting to to try some of the other stuff on the menu.

Rated 1.0 Ordered with ubereats. Sent the complete wrong order and whatever chicken dish they did sent tasted horrid. I can't even tell what it was, like they just emptied a jar of supermarket spice mix into it. Wouldn't answer their phone either.

Rated 5.0 Best kothu roti and vegetarian food on queen street. Ive been here maybe 100 times because of how healthy and delicious the food is. Other food tastes bland in comparassion to the divine flavour oozing out of every bite. Some of their best dishes are lamb kothu roti, tandori chicken wrap and any 2 currys and veggie is orgasmic. If you are looking for healthy and brilliantly tasting nutritional food, stop by saffron spice on queen.

Rated 1.0 I ordered something for the second time. It was a completely different taste. It tasted really bad like it was made with leftovers. When i called them to complain about it they said they will call me back but they never did. I wouldn't recommend this place. They are not consistent and you'd rather spend your money on something which tastes good

Rated 5.0 John did it again. My favorite is mixed kuthuroti. This mix is not available in the menu. He added chicken curry and veggies with kuthuroti. Amazing combination. Highly recommends...

Rated 4.0 “Its finally nice to have some variety at Queen and Spadina. Love the chicken and lentil soup. The chicken kothu roti was amazing but a little spicy so be sure to tell the cook, exactly how you want it. However, the mango lassi cooled me down and the entire experience was awesome. Thanks Johnny for the great service.”

Rated 5.0 Excellent! It's so hard finding authentic Sri Lankan restaurants around Downtown Toronto, so when you do find one, you hope that the food is good... and it was! The food and service was perfect. I had the Chicken Tikka Kothu Roti
