About Sherpa House Restaurant
My name is Lhakpa Sherpa, and I would like to welcome you to Sherpa House Restaurant and Cultural Center. My family and I are delighted to present our authentic Himalayan cuisine and traditional Sherpa culture to you. Our interior decor is an authentic representation of a typical Sherpa house in the Solu-Khumbu region of Nepal. Artifacts have been placed in traditional locations in the household, consisting of a family living room with kitchen, a shrine room and a gallery room. Sherpas in the Himalaya have been living in these types of households for centuries.About 5,000 Sherpas reside there. In the last few decades, Sherpas have migrated to other parts of Nepal and the Indian states of Sikkim, Assam and northern West Bengal (Darjeeling). A total of about 35,000 Sherpas currently live in Nepal.

Rated 5.0 First off, the atmosphere is truly something to behold. We sat on the back patio, a beautiful terraced deck with plenty of greenery. The food was good. I especially appreciated the quality of the naan, since it seems so hard to find good Indian food in the Denver area. The only reason this place gets 4 stars is because the service is awful. The staff acted bothered by any normal requests, and were generally brusque and unfriendly. Maybe they're going for the authentic feel of a non American restaurant, but I would be willing to give up a bit of authenticity for a more pleasant experience.

Rated 5.0 My favorite Nepalese restaurant. Okay, the only Nepalese restaurant I know; but the food is great and the atmosphere is nice. If the weather is right, I highly recommend eating outside. They have a great lunch buffet too!

Rated 5.0 One of my favorite places to go in Golden. I almost always get the lunch buffet which is pretty cheap for all you can eat high quality food. They have a decent selection of vegetarian food as well and I would also recommend the house ale. They have a great patio in the back for summer dining and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Rated 5.0 The naan and the chicken with tomato & cream was great. Chai tea was also tasty. Service was fast. Price was very reasonable. I would love to go again.
