Rated 5.0 The best, most authentic Indian food I have ever had. Definitely a hole in the wall but that's usually where the best food is. Definitely coming back again.

Rated 5.0 Had 2 dishes, one chicken with eggplant and one vegetable, and they were both outstanding. Wonderful service and the view of La Jolla Cove just adds to the fabulous experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Rated 4.0 We went here an hour before closing time. After we got seated, it took almost 15 min for the server to take our order. I was ready to walk out, since the place was only 60% full and I could see the servers attending other customers. Once we did get served, things were better. The wine was good, as well as the veggie Momos. The vegetarian paneer chilli curry was really good albeit a little dry, but the raita fixed that. Overall a great experience with great, non greasy food.

Rated 4.0 I had for dinner the chicken tikka masala and it was absolutely amazing! The Service was kind and friendly and the ambiance was nice. The only thing that bothered me is that they forgot to bring water! But when we asked for it it came pretty quick. I definitely recommend this place for nice Indian food.

Rated 4.0 The food was delicious. I wasn't impressed by the momo. It didn't taste very fresh. But you can't beat the view!

Rated 3.0 The big winner without a doubt was their vegetarian okra dish (#20 Ram Torya / Bhindi Tarkari); we all enjoyed that very much. The second best dish was the chicken and eggplant (#35 Bhanta Ra Kukhara), ordered at a spice level 3. The flavor was good, and the chicken seemed only slightly overcooked. The Himalayan lamb dish we ordered, #37 Bhera ko Tarkari, at a spice level 7 had a good flavor, but unfortunately the lamb was significantly overcooked and was on the tough side. Likewise for their specialty biryani dish (#60 Himalayan Biryani), that we orered at a spice level 3; although the flavor was good, the meats were overcooked and were noticeably dry (the potatoes in there were cooked perfectly however). I wanted the Indica Beer on their menu, but alas they were out of it. Quite a shame, as that was the only IPA on their menu. I had to settle for a King Fisher lager. Although I do not enjoy lagers by themselves, it did pair nicely with the spicy food. The first order of naan came out with the food, and it was cold and not that good. When we ordered a second of naan half way through the meal, that came out piping hot and was delicious. Although I wouldn't recommend this place, I wouldn't hesitate to come back a second time if a friend wanted to go: I'd be curious to see if they have the Indica that's on their menu next time, and I'd stick to the #20 and I'd try the lamb saag (#38) to see if the meat comes out more tender in that dish.

Rated 4.0 A lot of the places in San Diego get higher ratings because of the location - this is one of them. We came early on a Sunday evening :30pm and had our choice of seating. We picked a table inside with a clear view of La Jolla cove and were so satisfied throughout our entire dinner because of this. I would just eat here to enjoy the view! The service was attentive and fast. The prices were a little steep for the amount of food they were serving. The food honestly is Indian food - I had the chicken tikka and because I'm Indian, I asked for a 10/10 spice level and it was appropriately that spicy and delicious. But those who are not looking for heavy duty spice, definitely ask for a much lower spice level. The garlic and herb naan was also VERY good, but a very small portion compared to other Indian restaurants. We also tried the momo veggie dumplings - these were just ok - in retrospect, I would have gotten something else such as pakora and samosas. The milk tea was very good and it left me wanting more.

Rated 4.0 Loveeee this place. Whenever I am craving for Indian/ Nepal cuisine this is my go to place. Prons: Very nice location and view Yummy delicious food Price is average (not too expensive) Great customer service Cons: Sucks in parking during peak hrs, holidays and summer

Rated 4.0 Really nice lunch special with plenty of food for less than 10 bucks. Service was good. A-rating and nice location with outdoor seating with view of the cove. Very tasty Saag Aloo, maybe best I've had. Tikka masala was ok. I'd eat here again and try the curry or vindaloo next time.

Rated 4.0 First time here tonight. Beautiful location w views of the cove/ocean outside on patio. The food was amazing and so flavorful. Apps: veggie samosas and papaddum. Entrees: chicken tikka, tofu sag, shrimp tandoori, coconut curry veg and vegg biryani. All very good. Asked for everything mild, but even their mild has a little kick. Service was prompt/efficient. Looking forward to trying the Midway location next!!!!

Rated 5.0 Wonderful food and service. I had chicken and eggplant, suggested by the waiter from my two choices. He asked my choice of spicy. I described my preference, and he nailed it. With 6 people, we shared all of our dishes. Each was distinctive and delicious.

Rated 5.0 Everything about this place was fabulous, despite it's unassuming exterior. We had the garlic cilantro naan, lamb tarkari (Himalayan special sauce), and Kukhara Ko Masu (chicken with gravy sauce and Himalayan spices). All three dishes were top-notch, and you can adjust your spice level from 1-10. The service was quick and friendly, and the ambiance is great, with beautiful paper lanterns and artifacts around the restaurant.

Rated 5.0 This place had excellent food. I rarely eat anything outside of basic american food, but here I would recommend. The waiter warned our food would be spicy so we toned down the spices and it was barely spicy, so make sure you order a 10 out of 10 on the spice scale. Highly recommended for a date or whatever.

Rated 3.0 The saag paneer is really good, but none of the other dishes are anything to write home about. If you are craving saag paneer and garlic naan, I recommend this place. For any other type of Indian food, look elsewhere, since this is quite pricy as well. If you want dinner with a view, there are plenty of other options in the area.

Rated 4.0 I have been eyeing this place FOREVER since I walk down to La Jolla Coves often, and one night just had to visit for a well-deserved dinner. What drew me in was how welcoming this little place looked, especially with it's colorful flags waving about in the La Jolla breeze. After deciding to sit inside, I walked into a warm room with brightly colored paper lanterns and more flags lining the edges. All and all, it tickled my aesthetics. After chatting with my server, I decided on the aloo mutter (Indian spiced peas and potatoes in a tomato based sauce) since its something I'm familiar with and it just sounded so simple and tasty. Once the food got in front of me, I was pleased by the cute tins the rice and the aloo mutter came in. Also, I was really surprised by how brightly colored the peas still were! Usually when I get aloo mutter, the peas are darkened by the broth they are cooked in and mushy. I liked the pop of color and the pop of pea flavor in my mouth that this place presented to me. The only complaint I have is that I wished there was more!
