Rated 4.0 This place has been around for ages and given its proximity to the theatres, Rogers Centre and Roy Thomson, it could get away with mediocre food. Thankfully, they don't and dinner is a terrific experience. The menu has all the standards: tandoori, vindaloo, tikka, etc. but no matter which you order, it's beautifully prepared and jammed with flavour. Try the mixed platter appetizer to get started and be sure you order the tandoori gobhi. It's a crazy good cauliflower dish. Even if you hate cauliflower, you'll like this. The vindaloo is spicy ad loaded with flavour, as is the tandoori. Service is okay. Could be a bit more attentive.

Rated 4.0 Went for lunch with family and friends. We were at the CN Tower and this place is about a 10 minute walk from there. They have lunch buffets every day at reasonable prices, though the variety and selection of food items may not be as wide as some other places. Very good North Indian fare- tandoori chicken was very well cooked and succulent. The goat curry was delicious. Also were good vegetarian selections- Chhole, matar paneer, alu gobhi and non- veg selections included butter chicken and chicken tikka masala and fish malabari, which was excellent

Rated 3.0 Visited with for dinner with husband, and two teens, whilst on holiday in Toronto. First impressions when we arrived and went up the stairs to the restaurant, was that it was a little bit dated and could do with a makeover, carpet was a looked to be a bit grubby and could do with replacing. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and steered us in the right direction when we ordered - for that, they get full marks in my book. Starters were good. Of the four mains we ordered, three were ok, but the fourth Saag Chicken, just didn't hit the mark. As I've said earlier, the staff were good and attentive, without being overly so. Just before leaving, I visited the restrooms, and they definitely needed a clean, as it was early on in the evening about 8.30, I would have thought they would have been a lot cleaner than they were, not left with a couple of blocked toilets and paper towels on the floor. All in all, the food was ok, nothing particularly wrong with it, but when next in Toronto, I won't be making a return visit, it just wasn't my "cup of tea".

Rated 5.0 We stumbled upon Aroma totally by accident on a sleepy summer afternoon. The buffet is astounding with something for everyone ... many wonderful choices (great spicing, too). The naan keeps coming and lunch is plentiful enough to hold you through dinner, too! About $15 U.S. per person for a wonderful buffet (better than anything we've had in the States, to be sure). Right around the corner from Second City Comedy Club. Well worth the visit and your appetite!

Rated 4.0 The athmosphere, service and food at this Indian Cuisine is excellent. We enjoy very much the attention that the staff gave us and the suggestions they provided. Restrooms are at a higher level floor and it could be an invenience for older or disable person.

Rated 3.0 Aroma was recommended to us by Indian friends. Located in the very busy theater district the place was crowded and the service quite disappointing. mMaybe it was an off day as it happens in restaurants but it did not excuse unappealing Palak Paneer, Neutral"butter chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala swimming in too much sauce, The service was slow and the washrooms.

Rated 3.0 We stopped in here after a Blue Jays game so it was late and we get that, but, the insulting way were told to order quickly, that the kitchen was closing in half an hour, and to finish up fast, was just about enough to make us get up and leave. We didn't, though, and the two dishes we ordered were very tasty. Will not go back here. Far too many other Indian restaurants to choose from.

Rated 4.0 Visited this place with family. Service was excellent and food was very good. Restaurant premises is however not exciting at all as it feels a little bit closed in. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

Rated 4.0 Super quaint spot to eat. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Service was quick and friendly. I am not a huge fan of indian food and my boyfriend has made it his mission in life to change my mind. This place did just that.

Rated 5.0 we had generous portions and delicious chicken dishes near the theatres for dinner. Mid-range price $15 but not outrageous at all per dish.

Rated 5.0 On the second floor across from the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Nice space. Delicious Indian food and friendly service. The naan and samosas were particularly great. Reasonably priced

Rated 3.0 If you feel like a taste of some Indian then this is a good bet. It's not the best I've ever had but they do satisfy the need if your looking for a turmeric fix. It's consistent in quality & flavour so it doesn't disappoint but to be honest it lacks that WOW factor like Vijs in Vancouver . Toronto has yet to serve up that standard in haute Indian cuisine so Aroma is good for now.

Rated 4.0 I was recommended this restaurant by a local, and I wasn't disappointed. We had samosas, curries, naan, and roti. They were all delicious. The butter chicken was particularly good. The menu was very diverse and clearly labeled the spice levels. The waiting staff was very attentive and nice. The place is on a second floor, very casual and unassuming. I recommend it for a relaxed but substantial dinner.

Rated 3.0 Food was great but the service wasn't. Nice clean atmosphere but found unorganized with orders, seen them have to correct orders multiple times. Wait was longer then expected

Rated 5.0 Flavorful Indian food. Not sweet Indian food that most places sell to customers who can't handle spices. Loved the food and the atmosphere. Will definitely recommend and come again.

Rated 5.0 Being an Indian food lover and vegetarian, I really liked the food of Aroma. Reviews were not so good so I was bit reluctant to visit this place but this place is awesome. Nice ambience with amazing food, what more can someone ask for..go for it.

Rated 1.0 Waited 3 hours for my food to arrive, poor customer service, fed the "food is on it's way line" 3 times. Plenty of other better Indian food options downtown - money better spent at these joints. Do not bother.

Rated 4.0 Never came across bad service at this place. Must have changed although I went there for the buffet, and it was great. Wish they had more options though, it's still very good, even at dinner. Knock on wood.
