About Dales Indian Cuisine
Dales Indian Cuisine honor the rich traditions of Indian Culture by giving all our guests as royal a treatment as possible and by sharing the richness of our native country's regional cuisine. The food at Dales Indian Cuisine is the kind that many of us at the restaurant grew up enjoying in our homes. If you've never before experienced Dales Indian Cuisine, you're in for a treat. We offer a richly-varied menu of fresh, natural ingredients, wholesome sauces and flavorful spices. All of our food is natural and freshly-prepared daily on the premises with no additives or preservatives. Now some information that might make your dining experience even richer. Contrary to the common belief, curry is not necessarily spicy. It is an Indian word which means "Sauce". In our dishes that are served with curry, you will find a different combination of mild spices. With three locations in North Carolina we are never too far away. We respect and value our customers, new ones and old friends, and invite you to join us for lunch, brunch, or dinner.

Rated 4.0 Despite the somewhat mediocre reviews for Dale's, my husband and I were craving Indian food and decided to give it a try. Not only was the service incredibly friendly, but the food was rich and delicious. The naan was warm, and gooey with a little crisp. The tikki masala was phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

Rated 4.0 I love their samosa chat, especially when they add the fresh diced onion. The staff is very friendly. Its our local "go to" for Indian. We often use take out with no problems.

Rated 1.0 I've been going to Dale's for about 10 years. (There is also a Dale's in Greenville) Today will be my last visit. As usual, they were in no rush to serve us. Got our drink orders wrong. Brought out the bread well over half-way through our meal. We were there for the lunch buffet. I got a small bowl of the raita (yogurt based sauce). I dipped a veggie pakora in it and popped it in my mouth. I immediately spit the contents of the food onto my plate. The sauce was SO spoiled that it tasted like it was fermenting. I immediately told the owner. He apologized. Left the raita on our table. Left my plate with spit up on my table. Never came back to our table. When we were leaving he explained this happens all the time in restaurants and that I was just looking for a free meal.

Rated 4.0 I have been going to Dale's with family and friends for years, and always enjoy the food and the service. It's a cozy place in the winter, and has great outdoor seating when the weather is warmer.

Rated 4.0 I have been an on again off again patron of this restaurants buffet for some time. Recently my wife and I have started going again on a regular basis. I agree that occasionally the service was a bit slow but it appears that they have tightened up ship a bit. The food is always delicious...not quite traditional as they often 'cool down' the dishes with less spice. They do have a sister restaurant on 55 in Durham that caters to the more traditional taste but my wife prefers the less spicy dishes. As vegetarians we find they offer a very good selection and our friends find the entire buffet wonderful. Overall I am usually always satisfied with the food and service and look forward to our next visit.

Rated 5.0 I have been eating here since 2007 and I have never, ever had a bad experience here. The service is always polite and friendly, the restaurant is always clean, and the food is always, always tasty. My favorite Indian place in the Triangle. There are other good places, yes, but when I eat at other places I always just wish I had been to Dales on 9th. Just fabulous, and thank you for so many years of tasty meals!

Rated 5.0 We've had Dale cater our office lunches and we LOVE it! The service is always amazing along with the food. I haven't had anything I don't like, and i'm also unapologetically addicted to the rice pudding. Great place if you're in the Durham area

Rated 4.0 I don't understand the negative reviews. My family has been frequenting Dale's for both takeout and eat in since we moved to Durham 10 years ago. We've never had an issue with their food or their service. The food is very tasty and we keep coming back. Recently, they took great care of us with a $180 to go order and even threw in a free dessert. I always look forward to enjoying their food.

Rated 2.0 I absolutely love Indian food I even make it at home. This food was bland you can hardly tell that it came from a restaurant. I know that sometimes when restaurants have older guest they tent to dial back the flavor, but this was just nasty. The chicken tasted like it was undercooked, and it wasn't cheap. I rarely leave reviews but if we don't hold businesses accountable for whatever they offer, it's like saying I'm fine with what you are doing. I gave one star because the shell of the samosa was OK.
