We Indians love our food. No matter where we go, we google for the nearby Indian restaurant. Our passion for food created an interest in a group of us to start a place where people could hang out and enjoy the fresh food that comes out of our kitchen. We want this to become a neighbor­ hood adda, where desis can come enjoy our food, ambience, experience, and some cricket. We named the restaurant Gully Point reminiscing the life back in India where cricket, food and movies play a critical role in every­ day life. There are no cricket themed restaurants in the US, definitely not in Texas. The restaurant’s focus will be primarily on cuisines that generally are not tried in most mainstream rest au ­ r ant s. Gully Point's team is working to create a platter that attracts just not Indi­ans but anyone that likes to try fresh format Indian cuisine. As the restaurant matures, the team will work to collect feedback from customers and create a menu that generally will appeal to desis and other food enthusiasts. For most us, favorite chef is our mom, it's the simplicity of her cooking and the magic it creates on the palettes that inspired us to reflect the same passion in making and serving the food at Gully Point.
