The British defined the North-West Frontier Province in the year 1900 , which comprised of Afghanistan , and the Northwest part of pre independence India. The food is cooked in clay ovens or tandoor in the modern style of the Indian North West Frontier region. This style of cooking requires great expertise on the part of the chefs, since the meat is not accompanied by any sauce or gravy , but only pre marinated and cooked before serving. It takes a chef years of thorough training and commitment to master the technique of the art of making the breads that are so much vital part of the cuisine, or to obtain the ability to gauge spices. Mix marinades, and the most vital of all, to judge the heat of the tandoor and the time needed for each dish to be effortlessly cooked. Rated 5.0 Definitely the best Indian restaurant in the area. Food is awesome. Service is excellent. Compared to the other Indian restaurant in Plainsboro, the Crown of India, this is miles ahead. No rude servers ready to refuse anything, no morose cashiers with chips on their shoulders.

Rated 5.0 Jhopri is our favorite restaurant! Food, service and decor are 5 stars. Very busy Friday night. It was well staffed with friendly waiters. We ordered veg and non veg. All excellent.

Rated 5.0 So much better than the "other Indian restaurant" in Plainsboro. Staff is friendly. The food is awesome. Specially the Biriyani and the Kebabs. One thing I wish they would do is have an option to get my food delivered.

Rated 5.0 Nice ambience and good food quality ! I would say this is one of the best Indian restaurants in this area. Each dining table is setup with a bottle of sparkling water and candle if you prefer candle light dinner. Has good options for vegetarian food also. Veg Biryani was awesome!!! To-go option is also available here.
