Growing up in an immigrant Indian family, we understood that America is the land of opportunity, where dreams come true. When we open the doors to the restaurant for lunch, dinner or catering, it’s as if we’re opening the doors to our own homes and inviting guests to enjoy extraordinary food paired with a rich Indian lager beer or a glass of wine from our extensive wine list. Shalimar is elegant, relaxed, and affordable, inviting guests to enjoy the hospitality that reflects our Indian heritage. The training our staff receives enhances their desire to provide guests with a wonderful dining experience.We pride ourselves on creating an unforgettable, and unique catering experience that is sure to please and impress you and your guests! Rated 5.0 The ambience is good and briyani was spicy to level I expected. Chicken in both rice and kebab was well cooked and spice was felt all way inside chicken. Raitha accompanied with briyani was creamy and yum!

Rated 5.0 Incredible Indian food. We've been going to Shalimar for 5-6 years. We think it's the best Indian restaurant in Louisville. Every dish we've had is exceptional. For seasoned dishes let the waiter know the degree of spiciness and they'll gladly accommodate you. The breads and the garnishes offered are a great complement and the beer and spirits prices are more than reasonable. The service is attentive without hovering.
