Growing up in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, meal preparation was always the cornerstone of family gatherings for Usha. Her family prided themselves in always using the best ingredients, the most authentic preparation and original recipes dating back generations.Usha brought her great-grandmother’s recipes to Silicon Valley where many milestones and celebratory moments were shared with friends, colleagues, family and even strangers around Usha’s dining table. Heeding the call to bring authentic Andhra food to many, she opened Vizag Vantillu – in honor of her great-grandmother’s timeless preparation and love of family.
