About DC Dosa

In July 2012, dc dosa was named the winner of the DC Start-Up Kitchen/Nourish cooking contest. The judges were unanimously wowed by the tastiness, freshness, and uniqueness of the dosas in addition to the health aspects of dosas being vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. The judges also deemed dosas to be the next big ethnic food to have a hugely successful future. Priya’s approach to food had to be flexible, adventurous, and tasty. Her love of all cuisines was reflected in the fearless (and sometimes questionable) food she cooked, but she experimented and evolved relying on her innate ability to blend the flavors and spices she grew up with. Following long stints in the corporate hospitality and IT worlds, Priya decided to reunite with the original love of her life – food, specifically the food of her childhood, dosas. Rated 5.0 The dosas were awesome. We ordered masala dosa with potato and uthappam with onions. Both were awesome. Good staff as well.

Rated 5.0 The dosas are nice and very healthy with a range of fillings. All dosas are gluten free, so really helpful if you are n-glu.

Rated 5.0 I am from Chennai, South India and I can tell you this dosa was as good as my mother and wife make at home. It is rare to find tasty, fresh dosai out of South India but my whole family was very happy to find this place. It is very busy but they have good people working and your order is fresh and very tasty.

Rated 4.0 A mixture of authentic south Indian dosa varieties, presented with western combinations. Healthy alternatives that are just as flavorful. The dosa fillings and the chutneys have been altered to cater to the tastes of the locale, but still go along with the dosa. The only reason this didn't receive a 5 star review is because it was really hard to find a table to sit.
