Neetu was recommended to us by our close friends who purchased their home with her help last year.  After listening to them talking several times about the awesomeness of their agent when they talked about their purchase, we requested for Neetu's contact details when we decided to buy a house ourselves. As we decided on a house, over the next two days, Neetu helped us negotiate the price with the selling agent and brought down the price by $19K.  We got the mutual on 04/13, Neetu smartly convinced the sellers to agree to 05/15 for the closing date as we needed time to sort out our mortgage and home insurance options.  Neetu further negotiated with the sellers on our behalf to get some compensation for very minor repairs found during our inspection.   She also helped us keep some of the furniture we liked from the previous owners. Neetu was certainly knowledgeable about the current trends and gave us advice without pushing us. She let us learn and experience the situation ourselves and make decisions that we felt comfortable making. This was important as it built trust. She gave us the facts but let us make the final call. She was also patiently willing to tour a number of houses. Immediately after any house tour, if we expressed interest, she promptly sourced the seller disclosures and inspection reports. In a few cases, she even helped arrange home inspection on short notices. I would have preferred getting regular weekly updates on home prices/sqft of recent sales by different sizes, interior features in specific neighborhood etc. However, before making an offer, she would source the comparables from recent sales in the zip code and also by calling up the agents of pending sales. What we liked was that she was looking out for our interest. She in fact advised us to look away from certain houses that we thought were interesting. Even post mutual agreement, she kept in constant touch and help unblock issues with the bank and in helping us think through upgrades we wanted to do. In fact she helped us get in touch with multiple contractors and ensured that we got the best possible value for our money. Through out the process, she built a personal connection with us and ensured that we had a good experience in a difficult market.
