Rated 5.0 The Lot has beautiful ambience. I especially liked the layout and the location. Josh took care of everything for me and my entourage. I truly appreciate great service along with a great atmosphere.

Rated 5.0 Very nice theatre and venue. It is La Jolla, so cant legitimately complain about the cost ($56 for 2 and 2 bottles of water!). Good for something different ever so often. Much better than cineopolis.

Rated 5.0 I love this place! The lot is a social gathering place that was desperately needed in La Jolla… I love to go here for breakfast ,lunch or dinner. I also love to meet friends for drinks the fire pit outside of very inviting and I go here about three times a week…

Rated 4.0 Love the venue. Seats are awesome. Service was great. Price was very reasonable considering how luxurious it seemed. My only gripe (and why you didn't get 5 stars): We saw Star Wars TLJ and the volume was cranked waaaay to high. Took a while to get used to it. I like loud and I'm not old. But jeez. It was almost disorienting. The laser canons and explosions (in the vacuum of space - different rant) don't have to be 200 decibels. Thanks!

Rated 5.0 The food was very good but took 45 minutes to arrive.. we ordered one dessert and that took 35 minutes.. the waiter was wonderful, helpful and apologized a number of times for the food taking so very long..so I guess it was the kitchen.. they had some wonderful music and wondered if they played every night.. I called and asked and the girl on the phone said she wasn't sure..maybe post a schedule of the entertainment on the web page.. we'd like to bring guests for dinner but would like to know when there's live music and who..

Rated 2.0 The movie colors were messed up for more then half the movie. At one point I asked about it and they said they had just started working on it it. The waitress was not friendly never check back with me besides handing me a bill. The burger was not good or worth 18 bucks. The music in the hall was so loud that every time the door opened you heard that over the movie. I have had mixed reviews on this place first time was terrible came back had good time but seems like there is nothing consistent. Service is hit and miss, it's a Nice place to watch a movie but just know it will not always be a good experience.

Rated 4.0 Parking is terrible the service in the room is very slow and one staff very grumpy didn't leave a tip. But on the other hand the restaurant was lovely the cinema room was nice clean and very comfortable. Overall it was an enjoyable experience

Rated 4.0 Seats comfy, classy building and theater, great to be able to order food and bevvies in the theater, however food seemed like leftovers that they served in the theater as we wouldn't be able to see it as well. Fries were cold, chicken sandwich tasted good, but was lukewarm like it had been cooked hours and hours ago, but not kept in a warmer.

Rated 2.0 Went to see the new Star Wars movie, and the movie and theatre was great. But the food service was horrible. I must have gotten interrupted about 5-6 times during the movie to ask me if I had ordered the food they were holding in their hands. Then when it came down to me ordering, the server came took my order and never came back. I then reminded another waiter, and the same thing. The third time, I informed another waiter what had happened and so I just asked for a water at this point giving as to the movie was almost over and he brought it out right away. Considering I spent $23.50 on my ticket, you think you would recieve better service. I don't know if it was just me, but it seemed everyone in my row recieved service except for me. I think I will just stick to the less expensive theatre and order my snacks before the movie, and save myself about $10.

Rated 3.0 The Lot has an excellent menu, drinks, and design. The dining areas flow well from the bar, movie theater, patios with fire places, and dessert cafe. It's welcoming with beautiful flowers as well. The food is very good, yet a bit pricey for the scene. The service is spotty and unorganized--the gathering's only downfall. It's difficult to secure a drink and maintain consistent service. The maitre'd needs to roll up his sleeves, demonstrate some emotion, and pitch in.

Rated 5.0 Great spot! The complainers are hard to get! Excellent parking, security and overall attention to detail. Don't go if you don't like luxury, yes it gets crowded but we've never had any bad service. Food is great!

Rated 1.0 I am an avid movie watcher and my coworker talked me into passing on AMC and coming here. Ordered tickets online easy yes. Stood in a very long line to get my card and enter my tickets to it! Went in and sat down. Nice ambieance. Ordered my food with a drink for me and one for my guest! Only about 8 couples in the theater at this time. Our food showed up 30 minutes later after we saw many couples get their food and yes they arrived after we did and ordered after! Anyways my guests wine showed up mid dinner! 45 minutes after finishing dinner i still did not have my drink(an Icee). Hit the light twice to get somebody to arrive and tell me the machine was down... 15 minutes later a coke on ice arrives... NOT GOING BACK!!

Rated 2.0 I loved the theater and the dining area it's beautiful . This was my first time to see a movie and met my friend at the bar first . This is where the unfortunate first impression started . It's was 5 pm sat . And I wanted a drink and had questions the one gal was too pre occupied and Makenzie well let's just say they were all not friendly and acted if they were bothered by me asking questions . And I did t realize it's a "big deal" to order at bar and have it delivered to our movie seat . Anyways ..... they need a personality adjustment at the bar . At least pretend your happy to have a job . And love helping customers

Rated 5.0 Not only is it the coolest movie theatre we've ever been to, it's about the coolest restaurant and bar we've been to in San Diego. LaJolla or Liberty Station.

Rated 3.0 Not the usually great experience I normally have at The Lot. The facility was great, as was the movie, Guardians of the Galaxy! But the food service was uncharacteristically poor. I ordered an iced Americano. The server seemed a little put out but brought the order. I took one sip and it was really bad...acrid tasting. I thought maybe I would adjust to it. But another sip and no way. Our server returned and I told him the problem. I asked to have a bottle of Fiji water instead. A half an hour later, he showed up with two bottles. I reminded him that I only ordered one. He said I could just have the second bottle since he brought it up. So I was thinking how nice that was. Another half an hour later he comes up to the couple next to us with a bottle of water for them. He brought one but they apparently ordered two. He then interrupted us to ask if he could have the second bottle he gave to us back. I didn't care, but the other couple wasn't keen on having our "used" bottle. We didn't open it, but I understood. End of story you'd think. But the server dropped off the bill with the iced Americano AND two bottles of water. Ugh. In the end, twenty minutes later, the concessions manager refunded the money. Not such a big deal. But our movie was interrupted several times AND I got to spend more time than I wanted getting it rectified. The Lot still rocks though.

Rated 4.0 Update: the LOT reached out to me to apologize and resolve the issue by replacing my voucher with credits that can be used any time. While it is no doubt annoying that it happened in the first place, as they say, all is well that ends well. I appreciate their quick efforts to take care of a customer and as such, I am moving up my rating. I was given a free movie ticket voucher for The Lot - La Jolla while attending an event at The Lot. The movie ticket says, prominently: "Free Movie Ticket! Seriously. Any Movie, Any Day, No Joke." Well, I guess the joke is on me, because when I tried to use it today by redeeming it online, predictably, it didn't work. Then I tried to call in to see if I could use it, but getting a human on the phone at The Lot is impossible. Finally, I just went to the theater and found out at the register ... after waiting in line ... that I can't use my "Free Movie Ticket, Seriously" within 17 days of a movie opening ... So I guess it's not "Any Movie, Any Day," huh? Total waste of my time. Won't go back. And I'll be dropping my Lot membership as well.

Rated 5.0 We had a great time! We ordered drinks as our movie hadn't started yet. I was slow to finish so I took it in :-) We had dinner and dessert beforehand, so we didn't end up ordering, but the movie experience was awesome!
