We used Desi Beatzs for a recent event in our backyard celebrating my daughter’s birthday and we couldn’t have been happier. Matt is very professional and thorough. He worked with us right from the planning phase - we had a couple consultations to understand our requirements and he made suggestions accordingly. He worked with our family to learn our diverse taste in music and even customized a playlist especially for us. He even helped us with music mixes for our dance performances. Matt does it all!! On the day of the event, the team from Desi Beatzs covered many aspects of our party including lights, smoke guns, upstage dance floor lighting, outdoor and indoor speakers. DJ Matt personally came out a few days before the party to test out everything. Everyone enjoyed the music and Matt kept the crowd on the dance floor. We recently hired Desi Beatz services and DJ Kabir was simply awesome! This was for a birthday party and he made is memorable for us. Kabir is easy to work with and helped us with every step resulting in a fantastic high energy party. His equipment is state of the art, the DJ booth setup was really cool, lighting was brilliant and he worked with us for the music and complied a fun bollywood list mixed with english numbers. Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple. ?DJ Kabir is absolutely phenomenal. We approached him based on reviews and his Instagram page. And after that it was a seamless process. He was wonderful to work with and personalized the playlist to include some of our favorites. He also attended the venue walkthroughs with us to help us plan the layout and also help us think through elements unrelated to audio. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. It's an enthusiastic yes from us!

BEST DJ EVER for my Pakistani - Italian fusion wedding!! DJ Kabir is so friendly, cool and easy to work with. He made mixes for us from bollywood and western songs (not easy) for our dances and seamlessly played and blended a variety of songs at our wedding. There was not a dull moment on the dance floor. Our MC and Dhol player were also incredible and my guests are still raving about them and the awesome digital photobooth we had. Wow, wow, wow, and one more time for the people in the back: WOW!!! DJ Kabir was everything and more we could have hoped for (and I was a wedding DJ for a spell so the expectations were high). We had a DIY reception-only affair (courthouse wedding last year), so we were looking for the music to not just be a mood setter, but capture bits of ourselves and our families. We wanted a little bit of all the good stuff, so much so it was almost hard to nail down a playlist. What would work, what won’t? Whats too niche or too new or to old gahhh!! And then the day came. Firstly, what a set up! The lighting, the ambience! Secondly, what care! Kabir indulged us with a garba set that was supposed to be 15 miniutes and went 30. And then, MC Ishpreet! What an addition to the party. As Kabir tore up the floor, Ish’s dhol just amped up to the max. And what else to say? We danced and danced and danced. Every song was a banger, every beat felt like the apex. Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple. He was in touch with me and my brother regarding multitude of itenary changes during the evening and really just went with the flow. As for the music and lights, amazing. He was wonderful to work with and personalized the playlist to include some of our favorites. He also attended the venue walkthroughs with us to help us plan the layout and also help us think through elements unrelated to audio. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. It's an enthusiastic yes from us!

BEST DJ EVER for my Pakistani - Italian fusion wedding!! DJ Kabir is so friendly, cool and easy to work with. He made mixes for us from bollywood and western songs (not easy) for our dances and seamlessly played and blended a variety of songs at our wedding. There was not a dull moment on the dance floor. Our MC and Dhol player were also incredible and my guests are still raving about them and the awesome digital photobooth we had. Wow, wow, wow, and one more time for the people in the back: WOW!!! DJ Kabir was everything and more we could have hoped for (and I was a wedding DJ for a spell so the expectations were high). We had a DIY reception-only affair (courthouse wedding last year), so we were looking for the music to not just be a mood setter, but capture bits of ourselves and our families. I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. There were many things we asked for that did not happen at my wedding. My father gave a playlist, and DJ Kash didn't play much of anything from the playlist - just some of the instrumentals. The list did include some dance tracks that he played but not many. He also didn't play the instrumental version of our entrance song and played it really late, we were already halfway into the entrance by the time it started playing. Furthermore, he welcomed everybody before my parents did, which upset them alot. Also, my dad asked not to have silences and to play low level background music at all times which also didn’t happen. He also only played a few of my husbands songs from his playlist. The songs he did choose were often inappropriate for my audience , with expletives. Low by Flo Rida was an example of this. For these reasons my husband and father were actively upset with the music during the reception. In addition, he was very slow to respond and didn't call my father back at all for example. He also charged 50$ per each remix of one piece of music and needed all the points where to mix the songs, so we made the mixes ourselves. I did try to relay this privately but got no response until this review. He did respond and apologize for the items mentioned, therefore I’ll update to 3 stars.

DJ Kashif made our daughter’s graduation ceremony a memorable party. It’s a late post happened last summer but still people talk about it. The music the light and the ambiance DJ K created was amazing. People danced their heart out, music was for every age. I will highly recommend DJ k for your next event.

We recently hired Desi Beatz services and DJ Kabir was simply awesome! This was for a birthday party and he made is memorable for us. Kabir is easy to work with and helped us with every step resulting in a fantastic high energy party. Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. BEST DJ EVER for my Pakistani - Italian fusion wedding!! DJ Kabir is so friendly, cool and easy to work with. He made mixes for us from bollywood and western songs (not easy) for our dances and seamlessly played and blended a variety of songs at our wedding. There was not a dull moment on the dance floor.
