Jeetu was amazing! We had an interracial wedding with a Hindu ceremony in Asheville, NC and he assisted with a wide range of tasks over the course of several hours. He first assisted with tying our safas (headgear) for several men in advance of the wedding ceremony. He then played the dhol (indian musical instrument) for our baraat (indian wedding processional with dancing) prior to our ceremony. Finally, he played the tablas (indian musical instrument) during our cocktail hour set list and even did an impromptu collaboration with violin/cello instrumentalists for 2 more Hindi songs. We could not be happier with his performance and broad musical range!

However, I would still give them 5 stars since the main intention of the games was to engage guests and they were kept engaged anyway. We got good feedback from several guests that the party ran very nice and a lot of credit does go to Vinay and Aparna. We would highly recommend the duo.

We had a wonderful 70th Birthday party thanks to Mehekte Sur. Vinay did a great job hosting and singing some of the most popular melodies for the event.

Vinay was awesome. We booked him pretty last minute and were a little worried, but he jumped in right away, helped us build the agenda, and even suggested a grand entrance that set the tone. The DJ had a great voice, smooth transitions, and used the sparklers well, keeping everything on schedule. However, he started the music too early more than once even after told. The transition music also caused confusion, as it sounded like full songs rather than background cues. The biggest part we didn’t like was that the songs we wanted played from the playlist we shared and told him to play were not played. Overall, the performance had strong execution but needed better communication and clarity with music cues.

Hands down the best DJ/host we’ve had at any event! The baby shower games were so creative—photo trivia, green light red light, baby charades—each one was a total crowd-pleaser and nothing like the usual stuff. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. Over this past Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2024) I gave my mom a surprise birthday party for her 75th. Pre-planned everything a month ahead of time. For some reason I could not find the type of entertainment that I was looking for in the Southern California area. Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They both have great voices and more so the warmth and love they sing with. The range of songs from 1950 to 2022 they covered favourites and they truly became the jaan of our get together. Aparna and Vinay performed at our daughter's Roka ceremony. One of the unique things was, since our son-in-law to be is Malyalli, we requested a malyalli song, and the two did an outstanding job! This is one amazing Jodi! We connected so well in the initial conversation regarding my event, that I just had to find a way to make it work for them to sing in Chicago for my friends and family. We are big music enthusiasts so having them at our event really energized everyone in the room, from my 2 year old to my father in law and his senior friends. Also, we have the same Indian background so they planned some extremely special touches - from singing Konkani and Marathi bhajans to bless my daughter, to dancing alongside my mom while singing some grandma-grandkid songs, and chatting it up with my father-in-law and friends in Marathi. Mehekte sur jodi is superb! They organized a dance party that we were invited to and we had an amazing time. Aparna and Vinay have great energy and can read the crowd. Saw them last night at Samudra in NJ. Have been hearing them on and off for a while but this was the first time that we heard them in close quarters. Their singing and confidence is par excellence. They sang a variety of numbers of different genres and singers with equal proficiency. Would strongly recommend for any kind of party. All the best to you Aparna and Vinay - you both rocked!

I live in UAE and have heard about mehekte sur south africa special show..I did joined out of curiosity and was glued to the screen till the end..indeed loved the information and the entertainment..vinay and his lovely partner were simply amazing ..vinay has been a true entertainer throughout..simply loved watching the show..locking forward for a middle east special show from both ..

They have such a broad range in their voices that they can sing songs from several decades. My favorites are the songs from 60s and 70s.

Aparna and Vinay were great at our virtual holiday party. We had a great time listening to their beautiful voices along with little stories about the background of the songs and their composers. I hired Mehekte Sur for my engagement party as my parents are big fans of the Golden Era songs and wanted a segment for the same at my engagement party for their friends. Vinay and Aparna worked with us to not only cover that segment but also spent time with us to plan the songs for the couple dance at the start of the event. They really surprised us with their versatility in singing by creating a customized medley of fast songs that really set the mood before the DJ music kicked in. Awesome experience. We hired Mehekte Sur to perform at our sangeet event. The cross cultural nature of our marriage made it all the more challenging. They were a big hit! Their warm and easy personality made it effortless to work with them as we created our sangeet event timeline and selected music. The most important thing to us was keeping everyone engaged and on the dance floor when the DJ played his music. Vinay and Aparna were able to provide a great sangeet experience,which also included traditional Punjabi live singing, for our diverse guests (Indian, non Indian, young, old) . We have gotten great feedback from our guests and cannot thank Mehekte Sur enough.

Vinay and Aparna were wonderful and their entertainment was great. We had a family lunch and afternoon garba party, and everyone enjoyed the songs during lunch and the lively garba and raas music. All our guests danced the entire time for garba from age 8 to 80. I received many compliments for the excellent song selection, but truthfully Vinay and Aparna came prepared and made me look good!
